Awesome pho and tofu salad! The waiter was very friendly and attentive. Comfortable restaurant with booths, tables, and a bar. Laid back place with quick service. Very affordable prices. Check it out!

Viet Garden Ratings: 4.3/5 Food: 4.25/5 - Had a great time catching up with my friend and siblings at Viet Garden. It was our first visit here, since we always looking for new places to explore, and this place did not disappoint. It is a mom-and-pop shop, so the owner and staffs here are super down-to-earth and wholesome people. See the description of the entrée that I got last night for dinner below. - Steamed Rice w/ Grilled Chicken [GET]: I love that the grilled chicken is loaded and topped with lots of scallions and fried onion, because the flavors was so punchy and strong, IYKYK. Chicken breast was well-seasoned and nicely grilled, but some chicken pieces were quite hard to chew. The broken rice was well-cooked, soft, warm, and chewy. The cucumber and radish were fresh as sides, but I wished the pickled carrot had a little bit more tangy to it, it was kind of bland compared to most pickled veggies. Make sure to pour their sauce on top of the dish, definitely elevates the dish a lot more and making it more savory. Ambiance: 4/5 - The interior is a lot more spacious than I thought with tons of tables and chair for indoor dine-in. It's clean, organized, and quiet too, like most of your Vietnamese restaurants in RVA. There was not that many people when we arrive during dinner hours, but didn't affect our dining experience here. I like the little details such as the zodiac paper they placed on the table, and all sorts of silverwares. We definitely have fun reading them. You can also see two young boys eating at the near the end table, and working behind the counter sometimes. Price: 4.25/5 - I got the Com Ga Nuong, which is the steamed rice w/ grilled chicken for $11.95 and $13.15 after tax. Price is pretty standard compared to other Viet places in the area. The portion was decent and good quality, so I approved of it. I think each entrée ranges between $12 to $14, unless you get the chef's specialty dishes then its around $18 to $20. Service: 4.5/5 - Wow, the service was phenomenal and exceeded my expectations. Our server was considerate, polite, and attentive. I was asking if I can get extra protein for my dish, and he offered to give me extra chicken for no additional cost; I really appreciate the kindness. The food came out fast, hot, and beautifully presented on the plate. Also, every once in a while, the two little boys will stop by our table and ask if we need any water refills, and I thought it was the cutest thing ever. BLUF: Fresh and delicious Vietnamese food in RVA with the best service ever. It is a bit out of the way from Short Pump, but worth the trip out there to support local businesses. They got tons of options on their menu, and you really cannot go wrong with anything. However, my sister got Pho and was not impressed with it, so please skip on the Pho. Come here for their steamed rice and vermicelli noodles bowl instead.

My boyfriend & I called in food on a Sunday for pickup. We got there at around 815, & we were warmly welcomed as soon as we walked in. The owner & the man behind the bar were so appreciative & so nice. The pho I got was delicious, vegan broth to accommodate my newly vegetarian diet. We will be frequenting this place now as we live close by!!

Honestly the best pho and piña colada I have ever had.... and I'm really picky about pho. I've tried tons of places in Richmond and this is by far the best! The piña colada was so creamy and delicious and the pho was super authentic and the toppings were so fresh. The service was amazing and our server and the host were so sweet and attentive, and didn't rush us at all although we came late. It honestly was a perfect date night and the restaurant itself was super cozy. Must try in RVA!!

Delicious Vietnamese food! So many tasty vegan options. Our group ate the veggie spring rolls, curry tofu, spicy tofu with lemongrass and the pho chay with vegan broth. All were so good and came out piping hot! The owners were friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this place!

This place is sooooo great all-around! Friendly, clean, delicious! We had crispy spring rolls, friend dumplings, wonton soup, chicken with vegetables, and build-your-own rice paper egg roll. They also have plenty of sauces on the table and they are clean and full. Thank you Viet Garden for excellence!

Delicious & THE best service ever! Found on Yelp after a long weekend at a volleyball tournament. We were so tired & we were welcomed from the moment we stepped in. Pho was hot & tasty. Service & kindness -perfection.

When the food matches the incredibly considerate and attentive service, there's not much to add other than my love for any restaurant that is intentional about serving up quality to both omnivores and vegans. Yet another well done Vietnamese spot we found on our way back from the Lavender Fields Herb Farm. Honestly I'd drive by a few other places in the city to support this place. Will visit again for sure.

Viet Garden is our go to for beef and vegan pho, both of which are excellent. We also enjoy their vermicelli dishes, which are reliably tasty. The service is friendly, prices are reasonable, and food arrives quickly. We've enjoyed making this one of our regular spots, and love coming by to see the friendly staff!

Heard about this place through an online post. Always wanting to support neighborhood restaurants I decided to give it a try and I have absolutely no regrets. The pork spring rolls were as good as any I've ever had. The food was tasty and mildly spicy. They offer both meat and vegan meals. Service was excellent...made you feel welcome almost like at home. They've only been open for 5 months so give them a try. Only comment I would have and this is just for me I do wish they had more pork dishes.. this will quickly become one of my go-to favorites

The dishes we ordered were delicious - the three of us ordered three different entrees (two chicken and one vegetarian) and they were flavorful, generous portions with quality meat and veggies, and the amount of spice expected as ordered. We also enjoyed their soft spring rolls. Wait staff was very attentive. Don't be fooled by the plain exterior - the food is worth a stop!

This place is great! My husband and I split a hot grilled platter. We made our own spring rolls with the waiter's helpful instruction. It was tasty and fun. The waiter was professional and polite. The restaurant was clean. We will definite return!
