Menus a bit too used or not cleaned.
Hard to hear waiter over the music.
Once food was delivered, it was as if our waiter disappeared. I ALMOST walked out without paying it took so long.

Plaza Azteca is an excellent choice for both lunch and dinner. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a great spot whether you’re dining solo, with family, or meeting friends.

Fajitas: Absolutely fantastic served sizzling hot, packed with flavor, and generously portioned. They’re easily one of the highlights of the menu.
Horchata: Smooth, refreshing, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of sweetness. It’s the ideal complement to any meal.
Overall Experience: Service is attentive, the food consistently delicious, and the menu offers plenty of options to satisfy different tastes.

Did not have the best experience here. First thing I noticed when being seated was on the whole left section of the restaurant there were only black people and on the whole right section were only whites. Which made me wonder if they were racist. Then second, my boyfriend and I ordered margaritas thinking we would get the $5 ones but the waiter gave us the biggest one. Saying that was the only size they had. But the menu stated they had $5 ones. We ordered 2 drinks each thinking they were small and when the waiter brought us the first two we asked if they could cancel the second two and the waiter said no he couldn’t cancel. He was very rude. I feel like we got scammed out of our money. Our check was ridiculously expensive $140 due to the drink mix up. We shouldn’t have had to pay for the drinks due to the waiters mistake. We will not be coming back. Very disappointed

Unacceptable Discrimination & Ignorance
I am extremely disappointed by the treatment my friends and I received at this restaurant. As an Afro-Latina dining with a Venezuelan and a Colombian friend, we were shocked when an employee questioned why we were speaking Spanish and implied that we “didn’t look” like we should be speaking the language.
This behavior is racist, disrespectful, and completely unacceptable—especially in a business that serves Latino cuisine and relies on Latino culture for profit. There are Black people in every Latin American country, and no customer should ever be interrogated or stereotyped because of how they look.
We came here to enjoy a meal, not to be disrespected. No one spending their hard-earned money should have to experience this type of ignorance. I sincerely hope management addresses this immediately so other customers do not go through the same experience.
Until then, I cannot recommend Plaza Azteca and will not be returning.

Out of town with friends and their family for work, we chose Plaza Azteca for a birthday celebration dinner. Great choice. From the table made guacamole, to the fajitas and the birthday flight surprise, it was a great night. Food was delicious. Highly recommend.

Grabbed some takeout from here several weeks back. Oh man- the Nacho Supremes and Seafood Enchiladas were top notch and fully loaded. Highly recommend! Looking forward to trying their west end location too.

Cannot speak for the service or the atmosphere as I have only done pickup, although the gentlemen at the front were kind. The food is alright but it depends on what you get, overpriced compared to other options in the area and when I order tacos they have almost no cheese and come in a pool of oil- I will not be ordering from here again as it has happened twice in a row now. The photo attached shows the oil when I first picked them up, by the time I finished eating the entire container was filled with a pool of oil. Needless to say this meal left me feeling less than great.

The server disappeared from my table and wasn’t anywhere to be found for 20+ minutes. The staff was not very friendly and didn’t apologize and then charged me $47 for a quesadilla and margarita. Ridiculous!!

Shrimp allergies and requested no shrimp. They put shrimp and had an attitude when I brought my DoorDash order back.
