Plaza Azteca is one of my favorite restaurants. I have only dined at the Nroad street location. I purposely travel to this location because the customer service was awesome. Today, has put a bitter taste in my mouth because the bartender is the WORST! I sat at the bar, as I always do, and he took 8 minutes before he asked me if I wanted a menu. After 10 mins., I flagged him to let him know what I wanted to order. He didn’t bring what I ordered. This is HORRIBLE!!! I guess it’s time for me to try another location.

Very good food and service. First time I've seen a tray robot bring food to a table then the waiter distributes our food orders!

Use to come often but haven't been in a long while. Love that the atmosphere is still very cozy and we were so pleased to see the menu was very on trend. The service we received was very attentive but THE FOOD!! Between quality, taste and portion size nothing was missed. This old favorite of ours has definitely reminded us why we loved dining here.

Such a friendly staff and their Margaritas are on point. Food was plentiful and delicious.

My experience at Plaza Azteca was absolutely infuriating, thanks to a waiter whose attitude and blatant disrespect ruined the entire evening. From the moment we were seated, the waiter made it painfully clear they had no interest in serving us. They barely acknowledged our presence, approaching the table with a scowl and a tone that dripped with annoyance when taking our order. It felt like we were a burden just for being there. The food was mediocre at best, but the waiter’s rude, dismissive behavior and complete disregard for us made this one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. Plaza Azteca clearly doesn’t value its customers, and I won’t be back. Save yourself the frustration and eat somewhere else.

Tonight’s visit to Plaza Azteca was a delightful culinary journey. We began with the Queso Fundido con Chorizo, a classic appetizer featuring melted cheese combined with flavorful Mexican sausage, setting a rich tone for the meal.

For the main course, the Burrito Tejano provided a harmonious blend of grilled chicken, beef, and shrimp wrapped in a flour tortilla, topped with cheese and mango sauces, and garnished with sour cream and pico de gallo. This dish offered a delightful surf-and-turf experience with a hint of sweetness. Additionally, the Burrito San José featured a flour tortilla filled with grilled chicken, chorizo,topped with cheese sauce, pico de gallo, and sour cream, creating a hearty and flavorful dish.

Carolina, our waiter, was amazing! She made sure our dining experience was super smooth and enjoyable. She was always on time and really took care of us. Thanks Carolina, you made our time at Plaza Azteca so great!
