Great coffee/tea and food! Cute little local boutique gift shop too. Just wished their hours were better.

Lovely patio for lunch. We enjoyed the tofu banh mi, cooked and seasoned perfectly. Mushroom toast was concentrated umami, with perfectly cooked shirred eggs. Mexican hot chocolate was rich , not sweet , very tasty. Staff were friendly and efficient

Beautiful local cafe. Great selection of coffee, sandwiches, as well as assorted juices like locally brewed kombucha. Relaxing vibe in their patio and great service from the employees.

Is this Richmond's best kept secret? It might be. The best lunch I've had in awhile, a super sweet patio, and a friendly staff. Just go.

Great spot to lay back and enjoy the weather. Tea options are great too if you aren’t a coffee person.

Definitely a breath of fresh air. Small yet packs a massive impression. Sipping on their amazing coffee and enjoying some delicious mushroom toast was what the Dr ordered. Kind and friendly. 100% recommended and will continue to come back. Thank you for taking the Care In making your menu.

This place is amazing! There are so many great things for home and gifts. We bought a plant and planter and they offered to repot it for us!

Wow! I couldn't have been happier with my visit to Pomona. The staff kindly consulted with me on cat-safe houseplants, and then potted my selected plant for me. Such attentive service and a beautiful collection of home goods. Even with the shop's sophisticated boho vibe, it has an uncommon warmth and humility. I will definitely return for a cup of coffee and to pick up gifts for loved ones. Fantastic!!!
Amazing café with an equally outstanding mercantile space for all things plants! The staff is a caring group of cool people who are genuinely engaged in the community! 10/10.

This place is a gem tucked on a corner in Church Hill. their food is made right there while you wait and the wait is always worth it, it's incredibly delicious and the staff are very nice. it's small but filled with gorgeous earthy things to look at- beautiful stationery, plants, gardening gear... I can't wait until it opens back up and I can spend time in there againhere's a picture of shakshuka I made with a shakshuka kit from here! So good.

Strict Vibes, poor communication skills, felt kind of \\\"unwelcome\\\". Coffee was good, food was average, might visit again.

Missing this place. Love the coffee, tea, and obviously buying a plant everytime. They answer my endless questions whether my new plant is cat safe or how much light with a smile everytime. Don't miss out on this gem!

Pomona is one of those little gems that I, at times, like to keep to myself... The energy when you walk in is very "West Coast" in that it's very relaxed and a bit slow. I am a typical East Coaster in that I move quickly and love convenience but every time I go to Pomona, my immediate reaction is to just relax! I am no longer rushing, no longer hurrying out the door. They never make you feel like you have overystayed your welcome which is something that I have not experienced at any other "restaurant" in Richmond. I put restaurant in quotes because Pomona is a plant shop that serves food, coffee, tea, and other specialty drinks. They're food is an incredible blend of ingredients I wouldn't necessarily think to put together. For example, one of my favorite recent deserts is a sweet potato cake with coconut and a lime glaze. They also offer "breads and spreads" which is local Sub Rosa bread with a large variety of different spreads such as whipped ricotta and mushroom duxelles to choose from. They're outdoor space, while small, is very intimate and perfect for a first date. Overall, Pomona is one of my favorite establishments in Richmond. If you are passing through town or if you live in Richmond, definitely don't miss out on Pomona!
