Sweet Jesus I needed this. I ordered two different sandwiches and both were incredibly built and not soggy from too much sauce, one element didn’t overpower another and all combined to take out my craving like a democrat when they see a historical statue or someone having fun. Just all over it and beating it into metaphorical submission because they cant fight like this food does. I can’t wait to come back this place was incredible.

Visiting for the weekend and got a recommendation to try this place. Great chicken sandwich place!!

I came to Richmond for a work conference and this place was in walking distance. The food was so good I went back twice and told all my co workers to try it as well (they all agreed with me). The service was good and the food was always made fresh. If I’m ever in Richmond again y’all will be my first stop! Keep up the great work.❤️

Buttermilk and honey is the perfect place to go before a show at the national! The food is delicious and comes out quickly! I got the hot chicken sandwich and it was so flavorful and juicy! I’m so glad that they opened up a location after being at hatch local.

Good chicken sandwich

This was mediocre. I waited 15 minutes for an original sandwich and fries, which would have been acceptable had it come out fresh. Instead, I was presented with cold fries and a piece of chicken so thin the tomato was thicker.

The chicken sandwich itself was bland - no flavoring in the batter or breading. The bun overpowered any other flavor, and the hot honey wasn't.

Realistically, go to Wendy's and you'll get the same sandwich cheaper and faster.

Edit: Three stars instead of lower because they remade the fries after I asked.

Okay I guess I went on the wrong day, Sunday afternoon, or ordered the wrong thing, chicken dinner for which we got two dried chicken tenders, vinegary collard greens full of stalks and okay Mac and cheese. I ordered a side of fried green tomatoes which were pretty good except for the cube relish pretending to be cha cha pickles. Maybe we should have gone with the chicken sandwich and fries.

I had THE MOST delicious chicken sandwich and mac and cheese OF MY LIFEEEE!! Anthony and Travis are phenomenal chefs, and i’ve never had such tender chicken!!! will definitely be coming back here😊

The food is 10/10, but the atmosphere really lacks. It almost seems like a restaurant made mostly for online orders. There is so much more they can do with the decor to make it feel welcoming. The gluten free breading is one of the best I’ve had; you would never know it was gluten free. The gf bun they offer is also very good. I highly recommend the smashville hot fries. Coleslaw was just okay, it is ranch based, so it takes on a different flavor than normal mayo based coleslaw.

The chicken tenders and the hot fries were great, so were the dipping sauces. However, the carryout packaging was horrible, it definitely needs work, our food arrived cold because the boxes kept popping open. Also, the mac and cheese leaves something to be desired, it was dry, no flavor.

Atmosphere here is just relaxing and I’ve had the food once for off of porter street across from the chipotle. But the overall experience is perfect
