Tried this place for the first time a couple days ago. Pizza was fresh and atmosphere was cute. Our server Nico was awesome! He was personable and attentive.

Pupatella delivers solid Neapolitan-style pies with a lighter bake, which means the crust can steam in the box on the ride home and lose some snap. It doesn't travel especially well, but it wakes up beautifully with a quick revive in a 350°F oven once you're back. Toppings are generous and well chosen, the marinara is bright and balanced, and the mozzarella reads clean and milky rather than rubbery. There are small things that could be tightened, but when refreshed the pizza really scratches the Neapolitan itch in Richmond. Pricing feels fair if you order direct; third-party apps can push it into eye-roll territory. Recommended.

First time I went here many years ago, pizza was great. Today not so much...bottom was basically raw till about 2 inches from top of the crust. Taste was great but too many other places to spend $70 (or less) for two people. I won't be back.

Normally when people see everything rated 5 stars, they think it might be fishy or not a legit review. We were on hour way to NC and stopped by for Pizza. Our needs were fulfilled very carefully by the team. Nico had really paid attention to our order and served us well. Will definitely recommend.
