Redemption BBQ and Market

We ordered the Chicago style deep dish pizza with brisket and loved it. Perfect balance of cheese, crust, meat and sauce. BBQ sauce pizzas can be hit and miss but this was perfect. You have to call the store to order it, it's not listed via online ordering.

We had Redemption BBQ for my mom's 90th birthday party this weekend. What PHENOMENAL food!! Smoked Brisket, Pulled Pork, Pulled Chicken, freshly baked buns, green beans, baked beans, potato salad, coleslaw slaw, mac & cheese. Just absolutely amazing! I'm from Iowa where we raise the livestock so I know good meat; this was some of the best I've ever had. Juicy but not greasy, fresh and local, everyone raved about the food! Every time I come back to Virginia, I'll be requesting Redemption BBQ!

Amazing experience. The Deep dish was very unique and authentic. Definitely reminds you of Chicago. Its also very filling! Great value and quality. Highly recommend. Trying the incredible BBQ next time.

I was really excited to try out this place when I learned they did heritage style Virginia bbq. My expectations were certainly meet if not exceeded!

The server was also incredibly kind and welcoming.

Unfortunately some of the times were sold out when I got there around 4pm, but that is to be expected from good bbq so im not blaming them!

All of the sauces were delicious, and I loved how they had a list of all the historical background for the sauces.

Also there was complimentary sweet tea!

Awesome food, when you can get it. Came later in the day, and were sold out of most their menu. We didn't know, unfortunately. It's a market type setting. No sit down service, which is fine, but make sure you know before you go.

ThIs is my Go-To BBQ place in Richmond. The food is excellent and the BBQ sauces are made in-house and are delicious.
(I almost hate to tell folks how good this place is!)

These guys are doing it right and using the absolute best ingredients, I can’t recommend them highly enough. Their sauces are killer, too. I can’t even pick a favorite. Go here.

Had the Pulled Pork and Burnt Ends with Red Rice. Meat itself was fantastic. Sauce is interesting and spicy. Tried the Sweet Heat and Crossroads. Red rice is killer but again spicy. Would go back for sure.
