What a gem! Missing Deep dish pizza from Chicago? This is as close as you’ll get here in RVA! Great bbq, great sandwiches! He even does some Chicago style beef sandwiches that are amazing! Follow on fb for specials. The owner supports local farms and uses pasture raised meats! While you wait for your freshly made order, enjoy complimentary iced tea and watch a little tv.

I really enjoy the weekend specials here. The pizza is also amazing and quite close to what you get in Chicago. It's one of only two places currently that serve a deep dish in Richmond.

How was Redemption BBQ, you ask? In a single word, amazing. It absolutely blew me away with the quality, the taste, the sauces...everything. Even the smoky, woodfire smell of the place is enough to set a mouth watering and a stomach rumbling. This place is barbecue the way it was meant to be. And they also have burgers, brisket, chicken, and even Chicago deep dish pizzas take-and-bake to go. This is the barbecue joint I've been waiting my whole life for.

I have never been here before today. As soon as I walked in my nostrils were smacked with the delicious smell of BBQ! The girl working the counter has the most pleasant smile of anyone I have seen in many years. I had ordered, online, a pound of brisket with the crossroads sauce and 2 deep dish pizzas (the pizza's were the main reason I ordered from here as I have been looking for years for a place in Richmond that has Chicago deep dish pizza), and an order of the baked beans. The pizza's are frozen and I can't wait to try them. The brisket is unbelievably good and while I usually don't care for vinegar based BBQ sauces, the crossroads is mouth wateringly great! This place is a 30 minute drive for me to get to, but I'll gladly be back for more.

Some of the friendliest service I've ever gotten while picking up food. Shoutout to the staff! And shoutout to your delicious burgers, fries, and cornbread. The mac & cheese was alright- but needed more flavor. I highly recommend checking this place out!

Top notch BBQ! What a wonderful surprise on our way out of Richmond. I had the “Midnight in Virginia”. I’m a Cubano LOVER, and this one of the best! It was balanced, flavorful and the bread… perfection. I’m marking as a favorite in Google Maps so I am sure to stop in again! (Got a special chimichurri cheesesteak with brisket for my son back home.)

Okay so I know this is a bbq joint, but the pizza is fantastic! After a long search for Chicago deep dish pizza in RVA, I was disappointed. After consulting Reddit, I found “Redemption BBQ” cited as an option. I admit, I was skeptical, but after running to Short Pump and securing a frozen sausage and pepperoni pie, I was AMAZED. This pizza was delicious and very authentic. 10/10 would recommend.

Also, I want to try the BBQ now.

We ordered the Chicago style deep dish pizza with brisket and loved it. Perfect balance of cheese, crust, meat and sauce. BBQ sauce pizzas can be hit and miss but this was perfect. You have to call the store to order it, it's not listed via online ordering.

We had Redemption BBQ for my mom's 90th birthday party this weekend. What PHENOMENAL food!! Smoked Brisket, Pulled Pork, Pulled Chicken, freshly baked buns, green beans, baked beans, potato salad, coleslaw slaw, mac & cheese. Just absolutely amazing! I'm from Iowa where we raise the livestock so I know good meat; this was some of the best I've ever had. Juicy but not greasy, fresh and local, everyone raved about the food! Every time I come back to Virginia, I'll be requesting Redemption BBQ!
