When in Richmond you drink Richmond hazmat! Checked out Reservoir Distillery and got to try their Hazmat Wheat, Hazmat Bourbon, and Hazmat Rye they had on offer.
Hazmat Wheat - 141.8 proof, lots of licorice, vanilla, slight creme brûlée and grain on the nose, palate had some brown sugar notes and a very nice finish.

Hit this place with some friends while in town. We really enjoyed the founding flight. They also have cocktails available and a daily special. It is worth the time to check it out when in the neighborhood.

I didn't appreciate that there are so many tastings available for bottles that aren't available for purchase.
I felt like the mediocre stuff was for sale. The good stuff was only available for expensive tastings.
Some tastings are $19 for a half ounce.
Staff was attentive and friendly.
