This is the best coffee shop in Richmond, hands down. I've been living in Richmond for a year now, and this place has meant a lot to me. Everyone is so friendly and nice, has been very kind when I am having tough days. Also the best coffee, and great music playing!
Good coffee and chill vibe.
I just got a drip coffee. They had a decent selction and it was one of the better drips I have had in a while. They had a large selection of spectialty drinks that looked good.

Their fall specialty coffee was so yummy that we came back the next day. I ordered the Apple Spice Chai Latte with oatmilk and it was the perfect drink for the fall weather. The Salty Pumpkin Shaken espresso was delicious, and the Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Latter was divine.
The staff was friendly and quick both visits, even when the line was out the door.

The drip coffee was fresh. The allstar sandwhich was so good, and the cinnamon roll was on point!. After sitting down with my meal, one of the employees (assuming the manager) came over and spoke w/me. She was so helpful and friendly and even allowed me to try rhe different drip coffee flavors no extra charge. And lastly the atmosphere was cozy, and as I looked around I loved the decor more and more. Will definitly make a return !

Just the best little neighborhood coffee shop around. Super friendly staff, great vibes, and some of the most affordable coffee and food around. One of my favorite spots in town.

Riverbend Roastery is a super chill coffee shop with wonderful espresso. There is a lot of indoor seating, and there is also a small amount of outdoor seating. The pastries are also pretty good.
If you are looking for a place to get great espresso, meet up with friends, study, or do work, Riverbend is a great option.

I'm genuinely very confused by the sheer number of 5 star reviews here. Every time I get any of the specialty drinks from Riverbend, I can taste nothing but synthetic sugary syrup with no discernable flavor. It's just a cup of flavorless high fructose corn syrup, and that's exactly what it tastes like. The pumpkin latte is just AWFUL, y'all. Like, there's not the slightest hint of pumpkin in this. I want to support a local coffee shop and everyone is always so nice, but I literally could not finish this drink. For almost $20 for two lattes, it's just kind of inexcusable.

Best coffee shop in Richmond! I met Han. Every latte she makes is amazing. In my opinion, she is one of the top 5 baristas in Richmond. Also very friendly and kind, you can start talking to her right away. Always supportive and cheerful. Riverbend is so lucky to have her. She has a great personality.
Excellent coffee, food and staff. Highly recommended!

I am so thankful we headed down East Broad Street in the Church Hill neighborhood and found Riverend Roastery.
I hadn’t even walked through the cafe doors of Riverbend Roastery and I knew there was something special! I remember standing at the curb across the street and smiling because watching locals walk in and out of the shop, chatting with one another, petting dogs and smiling to one another showed me it was a place to gather.
The store front gives off a bit of a modern flare, but when I walked through Riverbend’s doors my gaze was drawn upward to their old fashion looking red tin ceiling. Then I looked down and saw their beautiful wood floors and I knew there was history in this shop so I did some internet sleuthing. The building dates back to the early 1900’s and was home to a bakery, then a convenience store and then an another coffee shop.
Riverbend’s coffee is roasted in house so the shop smells lovely. The baristas were friendly and they made a delicious cortado

Fabulous coffee shop with EXCEPTIONAL service. The people who work at Riverbend make this place feel like a true neighborhood spot - everyone is welcome. Being greeted with genuine smiles and conversation in the morning every time I come in sets the tone for the rest of my day, and I am so grateful to the staff for their kindness.

Coffee and sandwich I had were fabulous. Definitely recommend. Can't beat the prices either.

This place is it for coffee aficionados. The drip coffee was excellent and distinctive. Their espresso beverages were also very good and enticing. We had a breakfast sandwich and some pastries - all fresh and delicious. The shop has a nice ambiance of an authentic local hangout. I've been making my way around the Richland coffee shops - Riverbend is easily in the top tier.
They roast their own beans in-house. I was welcomed a half block away by the familiar scent of actively roasting coffee, and then delighted to see the roaster immediately to my left when I walked in. If you like your coffee freshly roasted and meticulously crafted, you won't go wrong here.
