Never judge a book by the cover. As a solo diner, I was apprehensive walking in to what looked like a bar as from the outside parking lot it looks like the tavern in its name.

I came for the Cobb but I capitulated and proceeded to have the best freaking fried chicken sammie in a loooong time. Maybe ever?! The sauce and toppings were the right proportions. Nothing overwhelmed the star of the show—the chicken cutlet pounded tender, salty and seasoned and fried...
I hated never been here before but it is close by so a friend from my church and I decided to try it out. May be a little hard to find because although they are right on Forest Hill Avenue, there is nothing with their name on it that faces that street. Friendly waitress and fairly good prices except that I made the mistake of getting a limeade and one refill and that set me back an unbelievable 8 bucks. Should have asked about drink prices and whether there were free refills...
What a sweet surprise this place was! We're so tired of chain restaurants so we found this hidden gem. Food is really good and the buffalo wings taste as good as the ones from The Anchor Bar in Buffalo, NY!! Hubby had a burger that they even agreed to cook it rare and his fries were the handcut shoestring fries. I had the Cobb Salad, which was a decent size and each item in it was superfresh and delicious, even the bacon. It's a very small place with a "dive bar"...
