The burger are great. But French Fries tasted burnt an was nasty. I can here a few times an ever time the Fries was nasty an tasted burnt. I would come back but wouldn't order any fries.

I don't know what is wrong with the people who work here but they have a horrible attitude. The first time I went here, the customer service was so good but then I come back a couple of weeks later and the lady who took my order this time just didn't seem like she cared. She had an attitude the whole time. Now today 3/27/2024 at 5:57pm I give them a call because originally I was going to go to lakeside Deli because they are ALWAYS kind to me everytime I order but my son really wanted a chili dog so I called Roy's to ask them if it was too late to order and they said it is they close at 5pm even though online it says 6pm. He mumbled something about walking up at 6:25 and then made a comment about "And hang up while you're at it" while I was still on the phone... This is really sad because I LOVE lakeside and I love supporting all of the small businesses around here but they are incredibly rude. I hope they can change their attitude and I can give them another chance!

I’ve been to Roy’s a bunch but walked up this morning and stood there for like 2 plus minutes without even being addressed, like “I’ll be with you in a second” nothing. If you want people to spend money there, address them and respect their time and they won’t just walk away… could’ve paid your employees hourly wage for the hour with my business I would’ve given them had anybody just said, I’ll be with you shortly… after 100 seconds you start to wonder lol

Roy’s Big Burger has been serving old fashioned hamburgers in Richmond, VA since 1961. It's touted as a Richmond institution, by staying the course and simply serving burgers and fries and a few extras, like chicken sandwiches and fried pickles. Take out only, though seating is available outdoors near the building. I felt the burger joint vibe and ordered a single 1/4 pounder with cheese, "all-the-way", and a small order of fries. After picking up my brown paper bag of food, I had to eat at a picnic table while the sun warmed me on this cool Feb afternoon. I was pleasantly surprised to see the size of my purchase with a handful of ketchup packets for the fries, which were great! The burger was juicy and tasty and loaded with everything. It was a great basic meal that was both filling and satisfying.
