Would not recommend this place if you are vegetarian. Asked the cook making hibachi to use separate spatulas instead of using the same one for raw meat and vegetables. He did not understand and kept using the spatula from raw meat and touching the vegetables. Not only that, but cooked the meat and vegetables so close that the juice from the meat was dripping into the vegetables. Asked our waitress and she went in the back and cooked the vegetables separately. They came out very greasy as they use too much oil and butter that made all of us feel sick afterwards.

I like to consider myself somewhat of a hibachi connoisseur and let me tell you - this is the BEST hibachi I have ever been to. My boyfriend and I enjoy Sakura SO MUCH, that we drive all the way across town to eat there. The food is always amazing, service is spectacular, and the restaurant is always incredibly clean.

The crab ragoon was to die, for it was delicious. And all of their other appetizers are on point. The sushi is always good. It seems to be a huge problem to find an awesome Asian restaurant that doesn't suck or buy frozen products to make their meals. This place is on point, not like the rest of the Asian restaurants in Virginia.

first time and last time trying a chewy filet mignon. my party ordered filet mignon and the people in front of us ordered ny strip steak, we got the ny strip steak while the people in front of us got filet mignon for dollars cheaper. I know what filet mignon tastes and looks like and instead i got rubber on my plate and the chef n everybody was tryna gaslight me that it was normal for it to be chewy.

the food was amazing but the owner and management is beyond unprofessional and rude the cook did an amazing job and I wish management was a little more professional they leave a lot to desire. They act like they are doing me a favor by letting me dine there as if other restaurants don’t offer the same food with the same/better quality and my server never checked on us at all she did a horrible job. will be going to kenpai japanese steakhouse next time.

If you like Japanese food, or food in general, this place is the best. The miso soup is amazing. My boyfriend and I found it because we go to the bookstore nearby and we probably eat here once a month. The staff is amazing as well and we always see the same people working there, which is great!

Horrific customer service. Do not visit this restaurant. The manager has zero concept of hospitality and should be fired.

The staff was rude. The lady screamed and yelled at me for suggesting a better seat in a completely empty restaurant. Not one customer but us and she refused then said you can move later if no one comes. We had been there for 15 mins before she took the drink order and kept standing around (waiting to see if others would come) before taking our order. We left did not eat.
