The food was boring and sandwich had zero flavor. But the worst part was the customer service. The woman at the counter acted irritated that we dare eat at her restaurant. She was rude to me, had a sour attitude, and I will not be returning.

There is no place better than Sally Bell’s. From the award winning potato salad, to the little cheese crackers, upside down iced cupcakes, and deviled eggs, you can’t buy a better prepared lunch. My favorite sandwich is the cream cheese/olive. My kids love the country ham and most go for the chicken salad. Every couple months we make a food run from the Washington area to Richmond and we buy boxed lunches to last for two days, plus an extra pound of potato salad. My grandchildren will now be the 4th generation in my family to love Sally Bell’s. Get in your car and go. Thank me later.Parking: Parking on the side of the building and if needed, in the lot behind.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. Kids with their parents for take out or eat in. I have been going there since I was four.Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible.
I had the turkey sandwich box lunch with chips, a taste of potato salad and a chocolate frosting cupcake.< it was soooo good. The turkey was really and not processed meat. And the whole grain bread was soft and yummy.< The potato salad was the best. No store brought weirdness flavor. Taste very homemade.< I never had a cheese wafer but it was interesting to try.> Calling the establishment is the worst with the automatic system. I wish they had maybe one more person just to answer the phone.Parking: Parking is off of a main street which can be difficult.
This was my first visit to Sally Bell's. I went to pick up potato salad for a friend. The service was good, but the food?? Oh my goodness! It was some of the best potato salad. When I entered the establishment there were two people in front of me. I wasn't there 5 minutes and the line was to the door. I can see why. They are also known for their box lunches. I'll definitely be going back.

I used to love these box lunches and was excited to order one today. I got the roast beef on roll, potato salad and macaroni salad. All were good. The rest of it was not made fresh and a real disappointment. I used to love the deviled eggs and ordered two extras. Big mistake. These tasted at least a day old had very little flavor if anything at all .Plus at .89 for half an egg, they are TINY. The cupcake was definitely not soft and fresh. I doubt if I'll be back except their potato salad cant be beat! I can pick some of that up at Libbie market. The lady I talked to on the phone this morning was just very short and kind of rude. Why?

Great food and very fast with pickup. Definitely will be back.
The front corridor is filty and the place has a stink to it (I'm only speaking of the entrance between the 2 front doors) They need to do a better job at cleaning inside that doorway. Everyone went up in prices so they are no different. The items I purchased were good as always. I have been purchasing from Sally Belles since Grace Street days.
There was a small worm in my tomato. Ate the tomato before I realized the worm was there (found the worm in the left over tomato juice). Almost vomited. Food is mediocre at best. Won't be eating here again.

Been going to this place for years first time at this location. We usually stop here on our way down to North Carolina. The classic box lunch is as great as I remember you get a sandwich, deviled egg l, choice of side, and cupcake. Its really I got the chicken salad. Nice and creamy with the spicy with the paprika. The deviled egg was good but under seasonedCupcake was mocha and was delivered

Great lunchboxes, I always get these when I need a pick me up. Great prices, good service. Sometimes have to wait a few minutes for them to get your lunchbox ready!
