The food was not good. I ordered the kid breakfast for my kids. They did not like it. Pancake was very tough. The bacon tasted like rubber. 2 year old who loves to eat everything refuse to eat the food. The fries I ordered were overcooked and wrong. I tried to get it corrected 1 time still came back wrong. First and last time going

Middle of the road diner built around a 1950s theme. Don't expect adventuresome meals here. You have a few meatless selections if you work at it. If you're okay with eggs, waffles, or pancakes, you can order until 2:00 p.m. Plenty of parking in the strip mall shopping mall and easy access if you use a chair or walker. Staff is super friendly and attentive to your needs without being intrusive. Clean, with an outdoor patio.

We are regulars at the Shorty's in Williamsburg. We just happened to be in Richmond and thought let's see if this facility is as good as the one in Williamsburg. It is, service and food was excellent and we really didn't notice any difference in the quality of the food between the two locations. For simple and delicious food Shorty's is the place to eat.

Just my honest opinion, I ordered the special fried chicken breast with green beans and mashed potatoes, green beans had no taste just straight outta can , potatoes I didn't like and a pile of gravy on top, I did like the taste of the batter that was on chicken.i had to check the place out, me and my sister ate here the bill was $37. This was my first visit I wasn't happy with the food, I'll go somewhere else next time

I've ordered from Shorty's a number of times, and every time I do, there is a problem with my order. I love the food, which is why I continue to order. When it's right, it's so good. But I constantly have missing items, burnt/overcooked food (my toast is rock hard), inconsistent portions (my corned beef with my hangover meal today was soooo small. I order this all the time, I've never received such a small portion before) and our chipped beef was all gravy and no beef (okay, there was a chunk here and there, max). I don't spend $50 to have this delivered to end up with poor quality food 60% of the time. Very disappointed. I should have gone somewhere closer and cheaper.
Ordered the country fried steak. Steak was thin and tough, gravy was cold, doughy, and no flavor, hash browns were under cooked and cold, eggs turned ok but I only use the yolks for a condiment. I couldn't eat it. Same bad gravy was on the SOS chipped beef. Server was awesome, hostess was quick and sweet. Thankfully they took my uneaten meal off the bill.
