We've been to Shortys before and really like it but this time was not good. I think the food was precooked and kept in a warmer drawer. The pancakes needed a knife and fork to cut and the fried chicken biscuit was very over done. I would compare it to low calibre buffet food. We won't be back until fortunately.

Great food all over. I ordered through DD,so I didn’t get to dine in yet. I ordered the country fried steak w/ my eggs cooked soft with cheddar cheese. My side was fried apples. Your team did a great job with the order. If I had to say something negative, I would suggest parchment paper under the food. My styrofoam was melted slightly on my last order.
I literally come in or order Togo at least twice a week and tip nothing less than 35%I had an issue one occasion where a straw rapper that didn’t belong to my table was in my plate of food. I asked for a re make and the cook refused because he had already cut the grill off to close at 2. It was 1:45. I then proceeded to pay for the entire mean including the plate with the straw in it and asked for a manager. She refused to let me speak to or have contact information for the manager. Fast forward to today where since then I have been back several times, no issues, I was sat in her section, REFUSED SERVICE & she told me I am no longer welcome in the establishment because I cause too many problems.She is the problem and I do not recommend anyone go as long as she is there.

So we had breakfast yesterday there. I ordered the sampler. I don't eat eggs so I asked if I could substitute for the fried apples. I ordered the home fries but I didn't know they were going to be fried potatoes. They were burnt and cold not to mention they had green peppers which I don't eat My canned fried apples were hot but not homemade. The sausage was thin so because I didn't really eat anything else I ate my better half cold dried biscuits with it. My pancake which I could only eat one piece of it was cold and a bunch of dough. It had no fluff to it at all. I don't know if the batter was bad or they need to change recipes. I didn't want to complain because it was his birthday and he picked the restaurant so I just boxed my entire meal up and came home and trashed it. Walking out to the car my better half said the food was unappealing. I was so relieved because I didn't want to complain. First time and last time. The young lady that waited on us not helpful.

Great service. Great breakfast. Recommend the sausage links over the patties. Good coffee. They keep it filled as you want. Attentive, but not hovering.It was nice to hear the servers greet their "regulars". Good diner feel.

I woke up craving hashbrowns so looked online and thought we’d try Shorty’s for the first timeWe were seated very quickly and our server was nice and expedient; the place is clean and cheerful; the coffee, omelette, and eggs Benedict were very tasty but the hashbrowns were coldWe even tried taking them home to revive them with no luckWe liked the place and it was conveniently located so we asked the server as we were leaving if there was a way to request hashbrowns be warm without angering the chef next time - she suggested the fried potatoes which include green peppers - not my favorite

Had great expectations but was not as good as I expected. Food was ok and our server seemed a bit agitated when she was around. We had breakfast so maybe other times are better.I’d say try another spot if you’re looking for a meal.
