This little hole-in-the-wall is hands down one of my FAVORITE restaurants. I’ve taken my parents and friends here more times than I can count 😂 and it never disappoints! I’ve had the whiting, catfish, shrimp, wings, yams, mac & cheese, and string beans so far & not one complaint. Everything is seasoned perfectly and tastes like real home cooking.

My family is from the country, so this food truly reminds me of it & I love that I can get that...

We visited on a Wednesday and called in our order. They were out of several items, so we went with a chicken cheesesteak, a salmon and shrimp cheesesteak, and wings. When we picked up the food, the cashier/bartender told us which boxes were which.

I’ve been here plenty of times, and not once have I been disappointed. This is by far the best soul food spot in Richmond—hands down! I even drive 30 minutes just to get my plate.
