Hidden gem! Love this restaurant. The people, the food and the atmosphere hit every time!!
Delicious food and presentation. This was my first time dining at any Shula's restaurant and I was greatly impressed with the food, in particular.
It was not good. Service was virtually non existent. We ordered chips & dip, the chips were tiny and SOGGY!!! Wet and gross. I cant believe they sent it out of the kitchen. The short rib appetizer had hardly any short rib at all, and one was just entirely fat, no meat, disgusting fat. My $49 steak was overcooked. The accompanying broccolini had a weird sweet/spicy sauce that did not compliment the red wine sauce for the steak. The broccolini was also stone cold. The short rib pasta was edible but lackluster and not at all worth eating. The mashed potatoes were the best part. My steak didn't come with a steak knife, had to wait for one. Cornbread was good I guess. Super disappointed, will not return
Restaurant was out of several things I tried to order and overall didnt think the food was worth the price.
Food was fantastic. We went there for our anniversary and several people came up to us and wished us a Happy Anniversary.
No dress code was enforced and people at other table were loud and drunk. Not the experience you want.
While staying at the Hilton Richmond for business, I came in here one evening for a drink before meeting colleagues. I had 30 minutes to kill and thought a quick drink would burn about 25 of those minutes. They were busy, but fully staffed (at least I saw lots of servers) and there were several seats available at the bar. I sat down and waited and waited and waited… The bartender was initially taking care of other guests when I sat down, then walked away for about 5 minutes. He came back and approached other guests, so I waited. After another 5 minutes, he asked me what I wanted. By this time I was there about 15 minutes and was ready to leave, but thought I still had time so I stayed and ordered a drink.
Not sure what’s up with the service here, but it seems to be a trend at this property and sadly at this bar too.

Food was mediocre at best, classic hotel restaurant food and no where near deserving of prices. Got the ceaser salad and probably the worst ceaser I’ve ever had, there was a stock on every single piece of lettuce which is honestly impressive(ly bad). Go elsewhere for your money
We were there on a Thursday at 5 pm ...the only people there ..it was lovely! Food very good-filet salad and burger. Bartender/server/everything lady was lovely and we had a blast. Highly recommend filet salad. Delish!

Dined early (6:00) on a Tuesday evening. Not enough patrons to make being seated in the dining room an option and were told that the menu in the bar was the same and to seat yourself at any available table. Server was polite and friendly. Food was well prepared and tasty enough but presentation was lacking. Filet mignon was served alone on a large plate with no garnish at all. Just a small portion of entree lost on a oversized plate. Unfortunately not very appetizing. Possibly just picked a bad night to try Shula's but probably won't try again.
Our server, Aquila, was excellent! We ordered the Thanksgiving Feast, and it was perfect! Aquilla checked on us several times and ensured our beverages were full. Everything was superb, just as we expected from Shula's!
We ate in the bar area. The server was knowledgeable and attentive. The food was good and the portion size was just about right.
Hotel quality. Can't believe Shulas let's them use the name. Filet was cooked well but stringy and tasted like Italian dressing with a hint of the skin of a baked potato. Ate 4 bites. Company paid, so quit while I was ahead. Limited wine menu. Sleep at a hotel, don't eat.

Strip steak and scallops were excellent. Chicken breast and shrimp pasto, however, were merely ok. Lobster bisque was not good.
