This place has fallen off a cliff. Were out of salsa (?), drinks, etc. Food took forever because only one cook, noisy busted HVAC (and no A/C), etc.

Food was terrible! I got birria quesadillas, no flavor and smelled like dog food. My girlfriend got shrimp po boy taco, it was soggy and too much on it. Flavors all over the place. Limeade ok compared to the food, but extremely sour. First and last time I will eat here…. Oh yeah $25 for 3 tacos and a small drink all together.

I have heard so much about soul taco, but I was highly disappointed. I got the shrimp taco and steak taco. The shrimp one was good but did not have much shrimp on it. It was more of a sloppy hot mess. The steak taco taste horrible and the meat was chewy. I gagged. Never again my friend. Restaurant was basically empty. I should of known better.

Meh, at best. Tacos were so so, and the quesadillas weren't better. If you like pork, go here. Not many options. Pork, pork, and more pork. Service decent, but no personality. Tables were sticky too. You might want to pass on this place. It was a one and done you're off visit for us.
Seriously this place is actually 10 stars, easy. If you are in Richmond you must find Soul Taco, it'll change your life.

As a Texan I was thrilled to find Soul Taco on my visit to Richmond! Their unique blend of flavors really hit the spot, offering a delightful twist on classic dishes. The waiter (guy from behind the bar because they had self seating and made us order at the bar and then they bring the food to the table) name was Wic and the manager’s name I was told is Trey.
When we arrived, the AC was out. We decided to stay since we paid for parking. We ordered our drinks and food. We were told they were out of the jerk chicken tacos at the time of order. No problem, we ordered shrimp tacos. They bring us our drinks… what THEY wanted us to have apparently. (We ordered Fruit Punch Jarritos, they gave us Strawberry). When we asked them about it, they said they didn’t have any more fruit punch. Great time to tell us after opening them and bringing them to the table… 15 mins go by and then they came back to tell us they didn’t have the shrimp for the shrimp tacos. Wic offered to ask the manager about a refund. But get this… he came back and offered a refund of SOME of what we paid.. them keeping the tip and all. MIND YOU, THEY DID NOT EVEN START COOKING ANYTHING. ALL WE HAD WAS THE DRINKS (that we had to settle for) Smh We asked to speak to the manager (after the waiter offered the partial refund) Wic left and then he came back and said it would be 25-30 mins until the manager could come see us because they were talking to the air conditioner guy and he couldn’t do anything about a refund himself. Only the manager. This was absolutely baffling and a huge inconvenience. We had to leave, without a refund and go to Casa del Barco to eat after they wasted our time and played in our face smh .

Absolutely fantastic tacos! Our favorites were the buttermilk chicken and the carne asada tacos!
We tasted around several local restaurants when deciding what foods we wanted at our wedding reception and Soul Taco’s flavors were hands down the best and most diverse. Our catering order included their taco bar with 3 different meats and the price was very reasonable! Our guests loved that they could build their own tacos and the variety of sauces and garnishes included. I forgot to take photos and by the time I thought to do so, it was all gone! The tacos were delivered on time too. I would recommend to anyone!
