as little understaffed so can't really account for adequacy of service. However i was surprised that the food at a SOUTHERN restaurant was not as flavorful as i was expecting. Portion size was good for the price per plate but that home cooked flavor was for sure not there. This was our first time at Southern Kitchen. We were there to celebrate my dad's 82nd birthday. When I bought in the cake the greater advised me that there would be a $25 fee for cake acessiores which included plates and knife to cut the cake. I was floored another guest looked at me as if to say unbelievable. I called my niece to stop at the Dollar Tree to get plates and I advised the greater that I would use my butter knife that came with the meal to cut the cake. The mac...

We came on Friday night for jazz. The performer was WONDERFUL....her voice was silky and sultry and reminded me of Samara Joy! We ordered appetizers, which were all good. However, I was expecting the fried pickles to be cut like chips versus steak fries. Our server, Enjhonae, was absolutely amazing. She was very attentive and extremely pleasant!! Overall, it was a great way to spend a Friday night and we will definitely do it again!!
