I'm leaving a review to explain that this is not a historical rail station or historical atmosphere at all. Loud trendy music and trendy decor. We walked in and the hostess didn't know if they had high chairs. Then was unsure of where to seat us. She took us to a booth and it hadn't been wiped from the last guest, despite there being several others open. My wife asked for it to be wiped and the hostess froze... it was very strange. she then walked over and asked somebody to come wipe it, who put up a huff. I made the call at that point to leave, I was worried that that iffy service upon arrival, the rest of the visit would not go well especially with the baby, so to be fair we did not try the food and have no rating on that.

It’s definitely a meat market. There’s pretty young ladies around the cocktails are great. The food is good. Make sure you get there early cause it’s usually a line on Fridays and Saturday night and it’s always crowded and there’s lots of fun lots of young people and middle-aged people

Second time here in two days! The Southern Fried Chicken sandwich and macaroni and cheese egg rolls are the bomb.com! Customer service was great!

Our first indication we messed up was walking in and seeing the dirty bar top with multiple sticky beer glass circles on it. Then I was given a beer list that had so many beers spilled on it the Hubble Telescope couldn’t read it. The IPA I had also tasted bad. It’s one of my favorites I’ve had many times but it was bad. Either the keg was old or their lines are dirty. We left. Nasty, I won’t return.

Bonus points for the screaming crotch fruit. That’s not the restaurant’s fault, but take your brats to Chuck E Cheese, not the Taphouse.

I don’t even know where to begin, but for the sake of anyone who values their safety, I feel morally obligated to warn others about what happened to me at this club.

I was calmly walking out of a room that was left completely open to the public — no signs, no ropes, no staff presence — with a friend, when a group of bouncers started yelling at us like we’d broken into some VIP vault. We didn’t argue. We complied and started walking toward the exit.

Out of nowhere, I was violently grabbed from behind and choked. Not restrained. Choked. A huge man had his full arm around my neck, cutting off my air. I couldn’t breathe. I couldn’t see. I was disoriented and terrified. He held it tight, and I genuinely feared for my life. I don’t know if it lasted five seconds or ten, but it was long enough to cause real pain and panic — and all for standing in an open room?

I have a thyroid condition, and afterward, the right side of my neck felt pinched and sore. It still flares up. That kind of pressure around my neck is dangerous, and the fact that it was done so recklessly makes it worse.

And the police? They stood there doing nothing. Apparently, if you don’t pass out on the floor, it doesn’t count. I guess some people think assault is acceptable when it happens inside a club. It’s not.

I come from a family with legal and financial resources, and this is not being brushed under the rug. I’ve already spoken with counsel. Security footage will be requested, medical records are being documented, and formal complaints are underway.

To the owners and management: you are 100% responsible for the actions of your staff. What happened to me wasn’t just unprofessional — it was violent and completely illegal. You’re lucky I walked out of there at all.

If you care about your safety, especially if you have any health conditions, do not step foot in this place. Ever.

My wife and I went for lunch w our son who's in a masters program at VCU. It's mostly pub food, drinks were good and service was good. A group came in from the James River and started drinking. It became very loud, hard to talk. My son said he doesn't go there on weekends because it's a little crazy. Sounds like a good college bar.
