The food taste is really good. Nice prices. Atmosphere doesn’t look nice but if you don’t care about. this, it will be compensated with good food
Women at the front didn’t say hi hello or anything, just looked at me to pay. I explained I wanted a water but didn’t know I had to get it myself out of the cooler because she didn’t tell me. Only about 8 items on buffet. Food quantity was very low and was never refilled. It was about $17 after taxes. The overall visit wasn’t good and I wouldn’t go back nor recommend this restaurant.
I will only recommend this place to my enemies
Great food and milk tea
Biryani rice is not cooked properly.. it's hard to chew.. they just boiled some chicken in some gravy soup and added to half cooked biryani rice... worst biryani I have ever eaten in my life... this is not biryani... its crap..
Even YouTube/home cook chefs make better biryani than these people...
I had the pleasure of visiting Spice of India, and it was an exceptional experience.
The staff was very attentive and friendly, providing excellent service throughout our meal.
The food was absolutely delicious. The dishes were full of flavor, and the spices were perfectly balanced. We tried several dishes, and each one exceeded our expectations. The portions were generous, and the freshness of the ingredients was evident in every bite.
Additionally, the variety of the menu offers options for both those seeking something mild and those who love more intense flavors.
Without a doubt, Spice of India has earned a special place on our list of favorite restaurants. I highly recommend it 100%, and I will definitely be back soon!
This place sucks!! Listen I don’t usually write reviews ever but I can’t let this go. I got cheese naan, butter chicken, and a falafel roll. The cheese naan was anything but cheesy. The falafel roll was dry as a bone! The website says it comes with lots of sauce, so unless those dry sad excuses of a falafel soaked up all the sauce they just didn’t put any on it. Lastly, the butter chicken. It is the simplest and most basic Indian dish there is. It may be basic, but it’s never been so flavorless. It just tasted like Greek yogurt and the chicken was chewy. I’m never coming back I hope anyone reading this never steps foot in this place.
Worst Indian food I have had. I ate it bc I paid for it. Small buffet the curry chicken looked like all fat so didn't even try that.
Staff didn't even speak when I walked in and the place was dead. They just stared....
My husband took one bite from each thing on his plate and was just done. We had to leave and get him lunch from somewhere else.
Bang on bathroom door before I could even wash my hands in restroom. Served cold food and it was an simple vegetable rolls. Reheated same cold ones, and no fresh ones to try for full uninterrupted first time experience. It was ok but disappointed in presentation and customer service.
Food quality and taste was not get good.

Worst biryani I had ever had in my life. Rice was half cooked and meat was not cooked. Had bad stomach ache. Avoid this restaurant
Food was amazing, service was great. Shout out spice of india
I visited this restaurant twice, and the food was terrible both times. Their buffet is a joke—poor quality and overly spicy. To make matters worse, I ended up with food poisoning after eating there.
The worst restaurant experience in Richmond! The food was terrible. We ordered goat biryani for dinner, but what we received was just a random mix of meat and rice—definitely not biryani.
Adding to the irony, this restaurant claims to serve biryani but doesn't even know what raita is. Instead of raita, we were served frozen yogurt (mostly ice), and when we questioned it, the owner insisted it was raita. He even mockingly offered to microwave the yogurt if we found it too frozen.
The restroom was absolutely filthy, with a horrible smell that made it unbearable to use. The food was bland, tasteless, and overall a huge disappointment. To make matters worse, the owner was not customer-friendly at all. When we asked for recommendations for the most popular dish, he had no idea what to suggest.
The only decent thing in the entire meal was the ice water. Avoid this place at all costs!
In my opinion there dishes are more robust in flavor compared to others Indian places. Just have more of a impactful taste that Is great.
