Starr Hill Beer Hall & Rooftop

One of my favorite spots in Scott’s Addition! Great beer selection (looooove having more than one sour option on draft) and the atmosphere is nice and cozy. Love catching a game on the rooftop or a movie night downstairs on the projector. Staff go above and beyond and always have great recommendations.

Sweet rooftop (and downstairs) to drink staple Virginia beer. Music played over the speakers is always so bad tho.

Enjoyable brewery! The beer is tasty but a step below its neighbors Väsen and The Veil, but it does have a better space than both of those locations. The rooftop bar is very nice with some quality views. Staff is quick with a drink even when there’s a line. Bathrooms are also clean and well-kept. The WiFi password is above the water station on the first floor. Overall, a very solid brewery that’s worth your time.

Cool place to hang out with friends on the rooftop. There is plenty of seating and breeze. We got the pride flight which was really easy to drink, my least favorite being the seltzer (the one on the right of the pic) and which was still pretty good! Service was smooth!

Good place to meet for a few beers here, as they have a very nice selection. There was plenty of seating available. And they have a really nice outdoor deck on the 2nd floor. There was a food truck outside the day we were there.

Nice environment, good place to hang out with some friends weather your going to drink or not. Would be a great place on a warm summer night. Has a decent selection of beers, service was fast!

So, my fiancé and I came in there tonight with our friends. I’m not sure what was going on but the bearded guy running the bar tonight was very rude. He called last call at 35-40 minutes before closing. Our friend mentioned last call isn’t that a little early and the guy said there are other bars, you can go somewhere else. It was very rude. We’ve been fans of Starr Hill for years. He made this experience very sour for us. Hope that someone can do something about this guys behavior though. Other times we’ve been there he’s negative and just rude in general. This is not what the brewing industry is.

Cool place with a variety of excellent beers. Suprised that they close at 9pm!

Really great, welcoming, inclusive place with super friendly staff. One day I will try the beer:)
