If it isn't their drunk customer base spilling into the street at 2am every night screaming, their own employees talk loudly enough on the sidewalk to wake up the whole street at 4am when they finish their shift. Actively praying they befall the same fate as the DC location.

My friends and I were visiting from NOVA this weekend and decided to stop here for lunch. We ordered the spicy salmon roll, curry fried rice, and the coconut shrimp bowl. The spicy salmon roll was mostly cucumber and rice, not much salmon. The curry fried rice was good, but the coconut shrimp bowl was lacking. It was mostly filled with undercooked vegetables and barely had any noodles or shrimp (see video). When we told the server, we weren’t met with an apology or any attempt to fix it. Instead, we were told that extra noodles or shrimp would cost more. As teenagers, we weren’t sure if we were being taken seriously or not, but either way, the service was dismissive and not what we’re used to. Back home, if food comes out poorly, it’s corrected. This was one of the worst customer service experiences i’ve had, and it left a bad impression of Richmond overall. I don’t usually leave reviews, but this felt important to share.

Great sushi, better drinks, amazing and hospitable staff. I am so glad I stopped by here. Now I am a regular, largely thanks to Kelsea behind the bar; she was willing to make a custom drink, and made it perfectly WHILE DRESSED AS A SHRIMP! This place is perfectly different.

My friend and I were visiting Richmond from Michigan, and got a recommendation to go to Sticky Rice for drinks. When we got there, the bouncer let us in but told me my friend’s ID was fake after she got in. About 15 minutes later in the middle of a conversation with some really friendly locals, the bouncer came in hot and started insulting us and harassing us. Although we were one of the most collected people in the bar, he kept trying to provoke us and escalate the situation, eventually kicking us out. Do not go here if you aren’t from Virginia. The bouncer was rude, letting us in but then changing his mind and kicking us out. The southern hospitality we were expecting did not deliver.

Sat down for 20 mins, server passed our table no less than 3 times. I had to ask a for a menu and we still ended up leaving without ordering anything despite trying our best to do so.
We have place an order for pick up and we got sick from it and end up in trash . We called and been told that the manager will give up a call back and process a refund . None of that happened . It used to be a good place . Update A refund for 16$ for order of 58$ and not even a call back . Very impressive customer services .

The place has very loud music so if that’s your vibe that’s fine. However, the food is gross and is not fresh. I would not call it actual sushi. I ordered a sushi roll called snack, crack and pop, and it was not fresh at all, it tasted very old, had a very small piece of salmon inside I couldn’t even taste the salmon and the whole thing was just sticking to the roof of my mouth . The ginger is not actual ginger. It’s like that pink ginger doesn’t really taste like ginger so I’m not sure what it was either. I’m not sure what the hype is but this is not a sushi place if you like sushi.
