So cute and very delicious! Just wish they had a bit more seating! The ginger turmeric latte is delicious. The fig and goat cheese sandwich is a must-try staple. Egg sandwich with cheese and veggies on a biscuit is good.

Placed an order and gave my name to the lady. After 30 mins waiting I decided to ask about it and turns out she had not put it in

We stopped here on the way to SC. I am a Pastry Chef myself. This place made us come back on the way back as well. It’s that good! One of the best eggs on a croissant EVER!!!! Everything we got was Outstanding and memorable.

Their iced green tea and turkey focaccia sandwiches are one of my favorite lunches in Richmond.

Stop charging more for plant milk. All the big chains have. Most of the small ones have. You’re in Richmond, the tenth best city to live in for vegetarian and vegan food.

It does not matter the reason people choose to not drink cows milk. It may be because of religious reasons, dietary reasons, allergen reasons, health reasons, ethical reasons, or whatever reason, it’s time to stop taxing people for it. For liberal Richmond, there is no reason to charge money to people who are trying to make the world a better place. I don’t think anyone would argue that oat milk is worse for the environment nor that it is less ethical than stripping away baby calves from their mothers in a matter of hours and slaughtering the baby boys. I don’t any physician who would recommend someone to drink dairy milk if they have a lactose allergy. It does not matter the reason. Make money by charging an extra 25 cents on your coffee. People will pay for it and it will wash out.

4 stars because the food is great! You don’t charge extra for the plant based treats? So stop charging extra for the plant based milk

Our company has partnered with Sugar and Twine for baked goods for many years now. We buy their cookies for our members and provide their pastry items at all different events. The staff are friendly and easy to work with on orders!

Sugar and Twine is on the outside a very cute and charming building in an ideal spot in Carytown. Unfortunately their service has dropped significantly, they give snooty coffee shop attitude and at the outside window they sit on their phones in clear view until someone has been standing for atleast a minute. They do not separate their GF and Vegan option when they bag it for you, forgot 2 of my 3 drink order AND gave me my drink with whole milk even after requesting non-dairy leading to several trips to the restroom. Would not recomend.

I really love this joint. The coffee is always good. The pastry and other items are great. Inventive without being too challenging. Decent music on and the staff are really nice. I like that they have several people behind the counter so it isn't just one barista being overworked.
But the flies are really out of hand the last couple of times I've come through. Get a bug zapper or something. At least enclose the pastry case. I was about to order a biscuit with berry filling but right as I looked at it not one but three flies landed on it!
I'm not going to stop going there, but I'm probably just getting coffee if the bug situation doesn't improve.

Love this coffee shop- have always been treated kindly and found the food/drinks tasty/affordable. Wanted to give a special shout-out as I ordered their pies for this Thanksgiving and their pumpkin might be my favorite I've ever eaten- simple but delicious.

If you like a bright, sweet espresso you're in luck. If you want a proper, traditional Italian espresso go elsewhere. Also, beware of large group orders, not all drinks were ready at the same time, 10 minute wait between the first drink and the last drink in an order of 4 drinks, not good. Nice atmosphere.

I liked the biscuit, bacon, and pepperjack egg sandwich. Id order it again.

I felt the coffee was rather acidic. It wasn't my preference.

I ordered 2 coffees and 1 sandwich.

Some of the best coffee in Richmond but stick to the outdoor counter.

Inside is a rough experience during most busy periods:
- It’s unbelievably loud; the concrete floor and high unobstructed ceiling cause sound to bounce around.
- There’s nowhere to comfortably wait for coffee. Hand off area is right by the trash and you’ll awkwardly dodge around people trying to do other things.

It’s pretty uncomfortable. But the coffee and pastries are some of the best, so that outdoor counter is the move.
