Definitely a contender for top cafe/coffee shop in RVA

Had a great bacon egg and cheese on cheddar biscuit. The chocolate chip w sea salt and delete chocolate cookies are delicious. Definitely plan on returning

This place is such a hit or miss. Most times that I’ve came here over the last few years (for just a sandwich and a coffee), I’ve waited 15-20 minutes in line and then another 15-20 for my order. There’s also been a handful of times where my order has been completely wrong. You would think that since expanding next door that the service would be quicker and of more higher quality, but that isn’t the case. I just don’t think it’s worth coming back here anymore. There are so many better coffee shops nearby.

Croissants and buttermilk biscuits are amazing! Well worth the trip! Don’t forget to try the pastries and cookies! Great Staff too

Ordered from out of town my for son’s birthday. Drove 1.5 hours to go pick it up from smaller town where he is training. He doesn’t like regular chocolate so ordered vanilla cake frosted w/white chocolate and raspberry filling. Got there she gave me cake with dark chocolate drizzled over it. I questioned whether it was my cake, she verbalized my order back to me perfectly. After dinner, cut cake and it was chocolate all the way through & kind of dry. Either doesn’t like military or out of town so thought she thought it was ok to do this prank.

Stopped by for coffee and discovered a truly outstanding breakfast sandwich (egg, sausage, jack cheese and buttermilk biscuit). High quality ingredients made the difference. It’s a small, tastefully designed space packed with people having fun. Counter service.

I love Sugar and Twine. They have great gluten free options for people with Celiac and their coffee is delish. Absolutely recommend.

Perfect cortados. Kind staff. Loved the cheese stick made with croissant dough. Breakfast sandwich was the best with lots of options for modifications, like veggies (avocado, arugula, and tomato) instead of meat!

Spectacular coffee! This stop is a must for any visitor or passerby! The cappuccinos, dirty chai latte, maple pecan scone and hazelnut brownie were all amazing.

The staff was very friendly and were accommodating to our toddler. Maple scone and dirty chia were 10/10 the almond flour biscuit with jam was like 7.5/10 but gluten free treats can be tricky and it was good when taking that in consideration. Some items were a bit pricey for what they were but overall a decent value for a small business in the city

They have ceramic cups! Nice place otherwise too, though like most coffee shops these days they don't offer any pastries with a hint of fiber

Always have had a good experience at Sugar and Twine. This was the first time I have been there since they opened the new side. The atmosphere of the cafe side is great.

Another Richmond favorite. I like their pastries, baked goods and desserts more so than their coffee drinks. Their sea salt chocolate chip cookies, macaroons, pecan pie, and their various sweet and savory croissants are really good. I liked their baked goods more than subrosa, it’s just accessibility, long lines and parking are recurring obstacle when coming here. Cart town street parking, stacked with long lines are rough sometimes. But kinda worth it if ya wanna treat you and yours
