though the heat was so intense that it was hard to converse with my date. it’s the peak of summer but it was definitely beyond what i’d consider minimally acceptable for an indoor public space. hope this constructive feedback helps

FYI this is NOT a French Cafe & French tea salon any longer. I went today Sat. 6/29/24. Do not come expecting the previous T.Caf salon de Thè. This establishment is under completely new ownership. Previously owners have returned to France. The name is the same (it should be changed to describe the current cafe), but most of the food is completely different. Any reviews or photos past a month ago on Google are not for this current establishment but the previous owners. No longer are any authentic French canapes, savory filled croissants, French lunch & dinner entrées, nor French pastries on the menu. My friend and I were disappointed by that. This is now a Caucasian American cuisine inspired food cafe. The cheese plate and chicken salad offerings for lunch ranged from about $20 to $30. Tea is only sold by the pot instead of an option to buy a glass or cup (I didn't see the previous coffee offeringsfor sale). The atmosphere is lovely (the new owner kept similar decorations and furnishings as previous French owners) and the new owner seemed friendly. The Google and IG hours are currently incorrect.Google says opens 9am on Sat. IG said 11am. My friend and I came at 11. When we walked in the new owner said they weren't open yet, even though the door was open. They wouldn't open until 11:30 so we could sit and wait. We opted not to wait but go to Blanchard's coffee close by. Good luck to the new owner. If you try it, I wanted everyone to go in knowing the above info.

Amazing, cozy, and delicate space. Perfect for lunch or afternoon tea and snacks. My friend and I enjoyed a late lunch here and the staff was so friendly and helpful! We loved our tea, charcuterie, and caprese salad.

Cash only but priced so well. Such a cute place to unwind downtown. The vibe is so homey and relaxing. The owners are so kind and accommodating. Definitely recommend checking out if you’re in the area, support locally owned small business!

It was very nice. Very different vibes from the other cafés in Richmond. I love the idea of using real teacups vs the plastic cups. The atmosphere was super warm and cozy. The drinks were super affordable.I was basic and ordered a latte with a chocolate croissant.The staff was nice though english wasn't their first language. They mainly spoke French and Spanish. I didn't mind. They were very kind and attentive. They only accepted cash. No cards.Only thing, i disliked was the staff touched my food without gloves or tongs.
