Mediocre for a few reasons. Music too loud for the tiny space. People have to talk over it, causing everyone to talk louder and exacerbate the problem.
Kara-age is not authentic. Use potato flour. Fry twice. Thigh meat should never be that tough. Serve with lemon.
Okonomiyaki was either done in a pan or comes frozen out of a box. You’d be able to tell if it was done on a teppanyaki grill surface. Needs more okonomiyaki sauce
Tonkatsu miso ramen. Egg was ice cold. Broth could be hotter. Meat was tough and chewy. Corn was flavorless. Overall not a $17 bowl.
Pretty disappointing but I’m not shocked given we’re in Richmond and not Japan. Oh well.

This is such a cute ramen place! I got the Tonkotsu Miso Ramen and it did not disappoint, I'm still thinking about it the next day. The service was good and they were quick! I will definitely be back!

We love this place. The drinks are exceptionally pricey so keep that in mind when ordering.
Food choices are great, the service is great, the ambience is great for a Ramen place
I’ve only been to the West End location and I hear they have a midlothian location so kudos to them that is working well

We hit them with a big crowd late on a Friday night. The staff did great and food was on point.

Solid ramen. Only note is the apps came out right before the ramen so we didn’t have time to enjoy the apps before needing to dig into our ramen before it started to cool off.

Delicious food and fantastic service! I like their takeout, but if you can, definitely dine in. It's such a cozy space and perfect for an evening date. My only complaint is pricy meals, but the food and service quality can't be beat!

Fantastic. Ramen is off the chain. Spring rolls with the spicy mayo. Damn, I’m making myself hungry again.

Really good Japanese ramen and appetizers here. The restaurant has a very nice vibe to it as well.

I love this little gem, I had the Tonkotsu Ramen (definitely recommend) which was so flavorful and creamy with the beef tender almost melting in my mouth. The atmosphere is authentic and cozy with the service being excellent and prompt.

This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. The service was absolutely awful – the staff kept hovering around and repeatedly asking if I was finished, basically rushing me out the door. The food itself was bland, portions were tiny, and nothing felt worth the money. I felt disrespected and uncomfortable the entire time. Terrible place – I will never come back and I strongly recommend others to avoid it.
