Don’t get me wrong I’m sure most people have a good experience with this location, it’s probably just my luck that, the times that I have asked my order to NOT be cooked with the same oil that they cook their pork they not only cook with with the same oil but they have added hot dogs to my chicken meal… I didn’t know what to think when I opened the container at home… I specifically asked.

El Chido is the best Mexican food I’ve found since moving from Tucson and this is the best location. The food trucks can be hit or miss, but this location is consistently amazing. The sopes are my favorite, but I’ve never had something that wasn’t delicious.

I visited this restaurant specifically to try their elotes, which were advertised at $4 each. Unfortunately, I encountered a significant communication barrier when placing my order. After some effort using Google Translate, I managed to communicate my request. However, I was shocked and disappointed to be charged $15 for two elotes, well above the listed price.

As someone who values exploring and appreciating different cultures, this experience was deeply disheartening. It’s upsetting to feel taken advantage of, especially as a newcomer eager to engage with and support a different cuisine. Unfortunately, this incident has left me hesitant to return or recommend this restaurant to others.

This place has the best Mexican food I have found in Richmond. I love the sopas, gorditas and tacos. And they have those delicious thick, fresh tortilla chips. Everything is always really fresh and good.

Awesome tacos! This place has a great vibe and the staff is very friendly. Our running group came there for food and drinks a couple months ago and they were able to handle all of us with no problems. Everyone had an amazing time and said they would definitely go back there.

4/7/24 I observed a worker while getting a propane refill at (Quioccasin and Pemberton) walk out the trailer to the store (gloved hands on the door and other store fixtures, handling money) and back out of the store, back into the trailer and straight to the grill (it was that close) with no change of gloves. I walked over because I couldn't believe what I saw and asked the guy why didn't he change his gloves. Apparently there was a language barrier so a coworker step in i then repeated....why didn't he change his gloves. He then said..."He didn't touch anything" I'm like really!!! If they are that careless and trifling the way sickness is spread nowadays with a "nothing was wrong attitude" towards a question why weren't gloves changed do you really want them making your food? I know it smells good around that trailer but BE CAREFUL!!! folks.

Great food and service. We were a large group, and the service was pretty fast, and the food and drinks were delicious. They even started karaoke up for us. Highly recommend.

Great customer service. We had a big group of people coming later in the evening and they stayed open late for us. Best tortillas I've had in Richmond. Great portions of queso and guac. Amazing margaritas. Incredible tostados. I could keep going. Literally everything was made to perfection. I will definitely be returning soon.

The tacos are very bad, nothing compared to the ones they previously had in the taqueria that is located in the bp, which is also bad by the way, the service is bad, the food is terrible.
