First time visitor. Food was really good and service just as good. A busy Friday evening and the visit was great. Will go again, next time in Richmond.

Went to Tarrant's before a show at Altria Theater. Since we were out of towners and didn't really know Richmond, I relied on other reviews. I have to say -everything was excellent. I was with a pretty picky group, but we all left happy. The menu, the service and the food were all outstanding.

Our first visit to this location before a concert at the Altria. The ambience was nice - old school tavern feel - the service was excellent and the food came out at a nice pace. The food was very good, trying their signature fried green tomatoes and she crab soup as appetizers which didn't disappoint. Blackened Rock Fish and Scallop dishes for the main course were excellent. Overall a very nice experience and good food. We will be back!

Great food as always. Prices seem to be going up a little high. Please return the Elotes Chicken to the menu.

We eat here often before shows and usually have a good experience. This trip we were sat at a table and waited 10 minutes before anyone even came to the table. The only reason I believe we even were served then was because I was looking around irritably as servers continued to pass our table and did not acknowledge us. They rallied and got it together which is why I didn't give a worst rating. But definitely wasn't the service I'm accustomed to there.

My girl asked for no pepper as it makes her sick. "Of course" we were told. Plate showed up with pepper on everything. My Benedict - the eggs were cooked find, but the English muffin was under toasted and the Hollandaise was runny and too much lemon. Very mediocre brunch.

We had a reservation at 5 o'clock, before we were going to see a play. The restaurant was fairly empty when we entered yet we were seated at a small booth directly across from the service area. Next to the service area is the bar where throughout the entire time we sat there more and more dirty glasses or stacked on top of one another. Our server never returned to fill Waters or take additional orders during our time there. He also knew we were going to see a play and were on a time schedule which he said he would adhere to. When we finally flagged him down, he apologized and ran our bill. But by that point between the cramped table, being seated across from the service station, having the dirty glasses, pile up around us, and the lack of attention from our server, the evening was one I would choose not to repeat.

Over Priced, Crab Cakes Benny (Terrible). Simply just disappointed, because of the various great reviews. Also... Shrimp & Grits Should be available for Brunch!! It's Not

We had fun with my son eating at this location: food was good and the decor was fun. Fun place in the art district of Richmond.

Food was great, cocktails were amazing! We had the Rosemary and Moving Pictures. For dinner we had shrimp and grits, blackened rockfish, and health bowl. Would definitely go back!

I always order the fried green tomatoes, which are delicious and quite enough for a meal. My companions enjoyed their shrimp dishes too - and the Dreamsicle Cheesecake was lovely, deemed so as well by a native New Yorker, whose milestone we were celebrating. Very nice evening.

We have eaten at Tarrants quite a few times. It is always very good and the staff is professional but friendly.

I made a reservation for brunch less than an hour before arriving at the restaurant with no problems. Our party of 3 was seated right away and we were asked if we would be attending the matinee performance at the nearby November Theatre, and we were. We were able to place our order quickly but the wait for our meals was a bit long. When they arrived, we still had plenty of time to eat without rushing. We all ordered off of the brunch menu and enjoyed our choices. Even though the restaurant wasn't terribly busy, it took a while to get our check after our plates were cleared from the table. Fortunately, we had given ourselves plenty of time and still made it to the theatre with time to spare. Tarrant's is a solid restaruant with a wide variety of choices on the menu to please almost everyone. This wasn't my first visit and won't be my last. I highly recommend it for a meal or drink before or after attending a performance at the November (Virginia Rep) Theatre.

We had a nice time and we enjoyed our meal and drinks. We had a few issues but the staff addressed it quickly and our group felt good with the way things were handled. We will return, thank you!
