Absolutely disappointing experience. We had reservations for 6:00pm. Get seated immediately, order drinks and our food. We didn't get our appetizers until 6:45. We weren't checked on at all during that time. No water refills, asking if we wanted any other drinks, or explaining the wait. One of us ordered the soup, and we watched everyone around us receive the soup long before us. We saw one table receive their appetizers and mains before we received any food. When we finally got our entrees at 7pm, there was still no explanation as to why we had to wait over an hour for our food. I asked our waiter and he said there was something wrong in the kitchen. When we paid he apologized again (I know it isn't his fault) and said there was something wrong with the pizza oven, and that's why it took so long. I'm not really sure how the pizza oven would affect our soup and biscuits taking 45 minutes, but it wasn't worth arguing over. The vegan specials themselves were unimpressive. The Mac n cheese had little to no sauce on it, so 90% of the dish was just unseasoned cavatappi for $20. Overall, a horrible first impression of Tarrant's and I can't see us returning any time soon.
Had a great brunch! The seafood omelette was delicious and the mimosas came quick. Our server had great timing and was very kind.
We came for brunch. Eggs Benedict was poor (eggs were overdone), sausage was hard and tasted like cardboard. Omelette was fine.
This might have been an “off” day, because Tarrant's usually delivers good value. On this occasion, everything from food to service was average. I hoped for more but will come back another day.
Thank you for providing a WONDERFUL atmosphere and experience for my son's birthday🎉🎊. We truly enjoyed ourselves!!!❤️
The ambiance was casual and friendly, as was our server, but the service itself was very slow. Our food arrived lukewarm without all of the necessaries (like syrup for pancakes). No one ever came back to check if we needed anything. I might give them another chance on a different day, but based on this first experience I'd probably pass.
We came with another couple and have been coming to Tarrant's for many years. The service was great and the food good. I was a little disappointed that some things on the special holiday menu were not available. We'll be back.
I had higher hopes that Tarrants would be a great choice for a Christmas Eve dinner with my husband. It started off well—our waiter was kind and patient, and the she-crab soup was excellent. Unfortunately, the experience declined from there. The table was noticeably sticky, and during my husband's salad course, a staff member removed his plate from under his hand while he was still eating his bread and grabbed the basket of (still full) bread. Our entrées were just okay—my rockfish was fine, but my husband's braised short ribs were nearly half fat. My plate was cleared as I set my fork down. Despite being told “no rush,” when he dropped off the check, we were repeatedly checked on while finishing our wine, and at one point my wine glass was taken before I was done. The biggest issue came at the end: after handing over our credit card, we were completely forgotten for over 20 minutes until we flagged the server down. I'm very patient with restaurant service, having worked in one myself, but this was frustrating and disappointing—especially for a Christmas Eve dinner.
Nadia was our server and she was amazing! This was our team holiday party along with two VIP guests- seating for our party of 8 was PERFECT by the front window and fairly secluded. It was a large round table which I also love for larger groups to encourage inclusion. We were there for a good while enjoying slow drinks, appetizers, and then a delayed dinner order. Again, Nadia was attentive but not overly so for the long conversations we were having. 10/10!
Food was very salty. Short ribs, shrimp & grits, appetizer dip were very salty. Drinks were good, food was marginal.

1st visit to Tarrant's and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. Our server was great, friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. We both ordered cocktails and shared a bottle of wine. Bartender did a great job and wine selection was a hit Our meal was not my favorite only due to the fact it was “over sauced”. It was my favorite fish - rockfish, so it was disappointing but not awful. We will definitely return.
After many pleasurable visits this one was disappointing. She crabby soup very thin, watery. Shrimp/grits also soupy. Seemed like milk was added, or grits not prepared correctly.
The food is delicious. A little heavier American cuisine, mostly. It's a nice, cozy place with a classic feel.
We had an amazing experience at Tarrant's for brunch. Food was so delicious and cooked to order perfectly. Drinks were delicious. Our server was friendly and engaging and went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable.
Our waiter was busy with a large party but still kept and eye on us. Our drinks were always ordered and/or refilled. He was friendly.
