The food, as always was incredible and a good value - I had the baked shrimp Chesapeake, with tons of crab and shrimp. Delicious! The veggies were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The Hanover Tomato Caprese salad was fresh and light. My only complaint was that the air conditioning units (not central air) were not working in some areas, which no one seemed surprised about. The banquet room in the front was much cooler but they said they wouldn't seat anyone there even though it was open that night. Leaving customers uncomfortable in a hot dining room when you have a large banquet room that's cool, does not feel like putting the customer first.

We had our son's rehearsal dinner here May 30,2025.From the room,to the food,to Melissa and her staff -everything went very smoothly.We had 55 people and everyone complimented on how good the food and place were( many guests were from out of state). I really appreciated the help I received planning this dinner ,from Melissa- no question was too small.I would DEFINITELY recommend this place( that was how I learned about it,from several of my friends).

Hosted a graduation dinner for 30 guests on the patio, it was perfect! The space, the food, the staff (Bre & Justin catered to our every need)and Melissa (event coordinator) made the evening run smoothly and everyone enjoyed themselves. I highly recommend Tarrant’s West for your next gathering/event.

Went for Brunch and had a fantastic meal. French Toast, Pancakes and Eggs, and the Breakfast Pizza were ordered by the table. All were fantastic. Pizza was more than enough for two more breakfasts at home.

We needed a place for 20 family members after mother's Celebration of Life. Tarrant's West said yes immediately and had everything ready before we arrived. Very roomy, great atmosphere, and the service and food were wonderful! We had a such a nice time there as a family. Thank you so much!!!!

Today, our experience was fantastic. Our waitress was very attentive. She was able to make recommendations for our meal. We began with fried green tomatoes and chips as an appetizer. I had the shrimp taco as my entree with sweet potato fries. My husband had the limited special chicken sandwich with bacon and honey mustard. Additionally he had fries. Everything was cooked to perfection and was scrumptious. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Great place to eat in a relaxed atmosphere. I was disappointed that their menu has changed a lot since I last visited, 😕 many of my favorites are no longer available. What I did have was excellent.

Mother's Day brunch/buffet was great! And couldn't beat the price compared to other places we looked into. All in all my wife and mother in law had a great experience and that's all that mattered.

I arrived at this restaurant at 9:18 PM, well before their posted closing time of 10 PM. I sat at the bar intending to have dinner after a long day at work. Unfortunately, I was told by the bartender that the kitchen was already closed and I could only be served alcohol.
This was incredibly frustrating—not only because I specifically chose this restaurant due to its late hours, but also because I expected to be able to order food with plenty of time to spare. What’s more concerning is that, to my understanding, Virginia ABC laws require that food be available when alcohol is being served.
For that reason, I’ll also be reporting this incident to the Virginia ABC for review.
It’s disappointing to have this kind of experience, especially when the hours posted suggest otherwise. I hope the restaurant reevaluates how it communicates last-call times and ensures compliance with applicable laws.
