Food was great! Does however take a while to come out. The only negative was our pushy waiter making sure we didn't waste any food. Even trying to force us to take home the complimentary bread. I do not feel comfortable coming back.

We had the server offer a mocktail to the girl I was with (who was pregnant) then forget to put in the order so we had to ask for it to be brought much later. Bread dip with no bread (had to ask for it after we were already eating our appetizer and the server had clearly forgotten). Then, when we were done our appetizer, the server brought us our bill and I nicely had to remind him that we had placed an order for entrees. He flipped through his book for a while then rushed back to put it in the computer so the kitchen hadn’t even been aware that we ordered dinners. He did come up to offer to make it up to us with drinks, but I said we could do dessert instead since the other person wasn’t drinking alcohol (again, she was pregnant). After our dinners came, a dessert selected but the server ( no one asked us what we wanted or offered us options, coffee, etc) was plopped on the table when we still had our meals in front of us and we weren’t provided silverware for the dessert. Then to top it off, I received the itemized bill for $27.xx dollars. I honestly thought they were comping our entrees because it was such a bad experience but then the server took my card and came back for me to sign an $83.xx receipt. He had just added the entrees after the fact without ever having provided me an itemized bill for it. We won’t be going back.

This is right across our Marriott Residence Inn. Went in without much expectation and how wrong I was! It is by far the best Italian restaurant I have eaten including in Italy! The mussels with white wine and fennel was huge portion and fresh! I have the steak Saltimbocca was again huge with their home made mozzarella and wine sauce? Great tender steak with the cheese, prosciutto, spinach, and smoky rosemary sticks just out of this world. The server Matt was extremely helpful and gave us a double portion of Limoncello mousse cake that was just right combination of layers of cream, cake and limoncello liqueur! Glad we found the place on our first visit to Richmond. We might come back again!

I saw all the wonderful picture on yelp and the pictures of the interior looked so nice so I decided to check it out with my girlfriend. Started off with a mule that was on point and some shrimp wrapped in prosciutto and calamari. Both of those dishes were awesome and deserve five stars!!! The calamari was actually calamari with the legs as well not just the rings which I loved.Now comes the main course. My favorite pasta is clams with white sauce and this is what I ordered. The sauce was pretty good (I'm picky because this is my favorite). However, the reason for the 2 stars was that every single clam had sand. Not just the clams in the shells, but the clams in the pasta without the shells. This was the only part I did not like and I understand that it's hard to clean them but when I make this pasta for myself, there is never any sand, and if there is, definitely not In all the clams. If the restaurant was busy, I wouldn't have minded as much, but my girlfriend and I were the only ones there.The server was amazing and very professionals and he deserves five stars. Even though it was empty, he did not act bored or that he didn't want to be there. The environment inside is very nice and well lit and I would definitely go back and try something else because all the food looks good.Maybe I caught them on a bad day and their supplier gave them a dirty batch of clams?

So we went here today to celebrate with a dear friend for her annual birthday dinner. This spot came highly recommended by a social media food group I'm a member of and when I say it did not disappoint...it did not disappoint! From the moment I walked in I felt welcomed and greeted as I was seated! I loved the ambiance of the space and they had some great music playing! Our waitress was a doll...super nice, patient and very helpful in making an entrée decision as there were so many good looking items to chose from. My sister ordered the mussels, with a name like the Angry Mussels you had to order them along side a bottle of red. Another good friend ordered the calamari with red sauce, I'm not big on calamari but when I say it was so good, lightly fried with an amazing red sauce! Then they bring out huge loaves of bread seasoned perfectly and warm! My sister ordered the steak which was the length of the platter with fresh mozzarella and jumbo shrimp on top! I finally decided on the tortellini with mushrooms and shrimp with a flavorful pink sauce! The pasta was so fresh and the shrimp and mushrooms were delicious! The portions are HUGE! It is literally enough to eat off for two to three meals, not even exaggerating! We enjoyed a celebratory shooter with the birthday girl and headed off to another spot to grab a nightcap suggested by the bartender! I can not state enough that the service from the staff and owners was simply amazing! I will definitely return to enjoy this experience again!

I was in Richmond for work and took a nice walk along the river. As I was heading back to my hotel I noticed this restaurant on the corner. I walked in and was greeted by two employees immediately and made to feel welcome. The waiter brought some homemade bread and a dipping sauce made of a mixture of oil and marinara sauce. The sauce was incredible as was the bread. I then proceeded to order linguini with white clam sauce. It was probably the best I ever had and had a fantastic taste without there being too much garlic on it. I look forward to stopping here again the next time I am downtown.

This place is AMAZING. I moved to Richmond in January, and passed this place many of times and finally decided to go. Sooo worth it. First off, the portions are HUGE!! Definitely recommend sharing for a couple. My boyfriend & I got two entree's and split them, had plenty of leftovers. The food was outstanding. The best italian food in richmond NO DOUBT!! The sauce they serve to dip the bread in is amazing... I really just couldn't stop talking/thinking about this place after eating there! If you're thinking about trying this place, DO IT!! Unfortunately don't remember our waitresses name but she was very lovely & gave amazing service.

Going back in time - the cobblestone streets take you down to this restaurant. The design and atmosphere is very nice, music pleasant. Service is quick and accurate. Food was second to none, far as flavor, presentation and portion size. If you are ever in the neighborhood, pay these guys a visit. You'll not be disappointed!
