Excited due to the good reviews, I was highly underwhelmed by this establishment. The waiter was standoffish and uninvolved throughout the experience. The price of items was high for simple things such as french toast or eggs and bacon being $20 for small proportion. They stated they did not have just about half the menu after trying to order multiple different items. Worst of all the place was very hot. While sitting me and my girlfriend started sweating and it seemed there was no a/c or fans in the area we were sat. Overall I would not recommend this place and honestly I am surprised by how we were treated and uncomfortable up until the time we left.

This was the best soul food brunch I have ever had, 10 out 10 recommend. I had the catfish breakfast my cousin had the grit cakes and shrimp. We both had the mimosa flights. The French toast is made from pound cake and decadent is the only thing I can think of to describe it? Everything was top tier, had my eyes doing the Keith Lee roll. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was amazing. If you get a chance, go eat there!!!

Good food but slow inattentive service. Dropped in for brunch. Took 10 min to get a soda. Chicken and waffles came out a reasonable time later and was tasty. Didn't see the waitress again for about 45 min when came time for the check (and a much needed drink refill). Luckily a bus boy saw me sitting there on my phone and asked if i needed anything. Wanted to give a low tip but they added 15% automatically. Boo. Wont be back.
This restaurant was black owned thats what attracted me here. Dined in and found out the owner owns half the intersection ❤️. We were greeted by the chef when we walked through the door. The options for breakfast were slim but my husband and i decided to order the catfish which was fried perfectly.i also ordered the mimosa flight which tasted great but did not fit on the table with my meal.meals are all priced on the higher side. My server was not that attentive, and they were not busy on this day. I would recommend

We are lucky to get in and get sat immediately on Father’s Day for two. I thought we would be a quick in and out. Our server was wonderful and attentive and took our order quickly. The wait time for food and drinks was too long. We waited 15-20 minutes for mimosas. Our food ran over 45-an hour we lost track of time. I noticed a table next to use left because of the wait time for food. After receiving the food we were pleasantly surprised. Every bite was delicious. I haven’t had many biscuits that aren’t dry around here and this one was moist and seasoned for the sandwich. Chicken delicious. One of the best sides of collard greens in town. The only grief is size of the plate, the side of greens was way to small and looks like a sampler you would get at Costco. Otherwise I would absolutely recommend for brunch.

I was on my way to another brunch spot it was Father's Day weekend. I didn't have reservations so this spot was right down the street and I'm glad I did go inside the food was Amazing, I definitely recommend this restaurant ,I also recommend you try the grit cake they were delicious ?. I would definitely go here again.
Food and service was a 10.The breakfast catfish with eggs and potatoes were amazing. So good, we had to order another meal to share! The only downside was the waiter brought us 2 dirty glasses for our water, and the gold plates silverware is starting to fade.
The place is beautiful however the brunch prices are absolutely too high for the quality. Drink prices are also crazy high. I order the French toast and though it looked aesthetically pleasing, the consistency was super mushy, comparable to porridge. The food also took quite a bit to come out despite it being fairly empty.

My first time going to the Deuce. The food was good. Got the catfish bites. Seasoned well. The back patio has a nice atmosphere. The lady DJ was fire last night. It was my birthday and she did that!
When I walked in I was blown away by the beautiful; classy decor and amazing ambience. Dined on some delicious cuisine with smooth jazz playing in the background. The service was stellar and the owner Shane walked around to the tables to make sure everyone was having a great experience. This is a place the city of Richmond has been missing. It’s owned by the same folks that own southern kitchen so you know its good. Get your crew, get your boo or go on the solo tip and check it out. You will not be disappointed.
Very poor customer service! My reservation was for 7:15 pm in the main dining area. Upon arrival, I was told that a table was not available in the main dining and the only options available were to sit at the bar, sit on the couches, or sit in the patio area. I chose to sit in the patio area. As the host escorts me to the patio area, it comes to my attention that the table available is right in the middle of the doorway. I informed the host that I did not want to sit there. The host then says that I can sit at the table in the patio area on the wall that is not directly in the doorway instead. Someone else comes to clean that table then proceeded to tell me that I had to sit in the middle of the doorway because they had a table for two who they were going to sit by the wall. I informed that person that my RESERVATION was for the main dining not the patio, not the couch, not the bar, not the middle of the doorway. This person then aggressively tell me that if I want a table in the main dining, she will find me one. If it was a table available then why did you try to put me on the patio instead? I left the establishment without sitting or eating dinner because of the principle of the situation. That is not how you do business. If you are not going to follow the guidelines of reservations then you need to remove that requirement to dine at your establishment. Obviously, you are not equipped nor trained on how to run an establishment of that caliber. It does not matter how good your food is, if your service sucks. I can spend my money elsewhere. I am not from the area … not even from Virginia. I was completely disappointed.
Menu was very limited for the price but the food was very good. Not a true cigar bar as advertised. Had I not brought my own I would have had only 4 to choose from. They should rather say cigars welcome. DJ was great and the staff was very accommodating. Overall had a great time
Listen!! I drove an hour to be around grown folks and I love it!!! Can't wait to hear the DJ or live entertainment there and enjoy a cigar
