Drink of the week, Saturn, did not disappoint. Fantastic service at the bar!!!
A great cocktail lounge. Great service and inventive, delicious cocktails.
Amazing staff and the drinks are super creative. Food is pretty good, but definitely more of a place to go for drinks. My husband and I visit frequently.
cool hangout, great drinks and a fun vibe
Great cocktail
It was pretty good, only paid $10 for a drink, service was OK for the night, they were quite busy so I give them a pass, other than that the drinks were good, the atmosphere was amazing and laid-back, overall a fun time
Unfortunately we, party of two, didn’t get to experience the atmosphere or drink/food. The hostess told us that there was a 45min wait, although the bar had empty multiple empty seats and a free table with no people waiting.
For the time we were going to wait, we wanted to order a drink, upon trying to order the bartender refused to make us drinks if we don’t have a seats. We walked back to the entrance and wanted to wait there when an employee walked up and told us in a not very friendly manner that we have to wait outside or walk around the neighborhood at 7.30pm on a windy 48F Saturday evening until we get notification that the seats are ready (three seats at the bar and table were still free).
Upon the last interaction we decided to take our business to a different bar. This would have been my first visit to The Emerald Lounge, I definitely won’t go back and can’t not recommend the establishment to anyone. The unfriendly, unwelcoming treatment of customers shows that they clearly don’t need more patrons.
The food and drinks were good. The service was terrible and pretty much downright offensive. All three guys working were rude, short, passive aggressive, and gaslighted us when we asked for simple requests. We felt completely unwelcome and considered leaving after the first few interactions with the staff. As previous hospitality workers, we tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but with each interaction the treatment got worse.

Visiting VA & was trying to find a nice chill bar to have drinks. We ended up here—atmosphere is very dim/jungle themed, played alternative/disco music at a moderate volume, drinks were also great as well as the service! We had the Espresso Martini and Mental Gymnastics. I highly recommend if you are trying to find a hidden gem bar. Parking can be hard to find but we found street parking and walked over to the bar.

It's no surprise that the team behind the brilliant speakeasy The Jasper in Carytown created something equally compelling in Church Hill.
This cozy bar opened in 2023 -- a hand-crafted tropically themed place where everything was carefully thought out. Everything on the menu is unexpected and delicious. The happy hour is (sadly) drinks-only but they are truly unique and half price.
If the weather permits, there is a cute tiki-patio. The Emerald Lounge shares both the kitchen and the expertly curated salt water fish tank with their sister ramen bar Slurp! next door (also worth a visit).

Gorgeous and intimate cocktail bar with great music and beautifully crafted drinks. Each one comes in a unique cup, and the presentation is incredible! Menu is really fun, with pictures of the drinks and a booz-ometer. Really special spot.

What a fabulous place! It's exactly what a sophisticated, themed cocktail bar should be. The decor is moody, festive, and fun. The cocktails were pitch-perfect. Just go.

Overall The Emerald Lounge was on its way to being a vibe. And the happy hour is totally a move.
The place had a pretty decent tiki atmosphere but was missing a few key elements. Atmosphere would be a 5 star if they had some dried palm leaves at the bar and gave a little more effort the black painted ceiling.
Would recommend getting the drink of the week, that slapped, but the rum old fashioned took me back to getting my mouth washed out after saying a few bad words at grandmas, so I would steer clear.

Will update if I ever go back but I doubt it
Was really looking forward to trying this place out when I finally had the chance 6/29 it was a terrible experience there were two tables available but the server said it would be about a 30 minute wait there was no line also at the bar there were two chairs available server also said they were being saved for somebody the people who looked to be saving them had empty plates and drinks in front of them so I'm not sure what that was about the atmosphere was great the restaurant amazing but service was terrible looking at reviews they wait time and service seems to be a issue that yet has been addressed
