Honestly, I’ve never written a review to be negative, but pretty agitated atm. Visiting my sister in the Richmond, flew in from Amsterdam where I live. Went out in the rain to get groceries for a home cooked meal, chose to cycle and it was pourinh with rain. Thought i’d pop in for a quick pint before heading home. Once I ordered my drink, she asked for ID. I’m 31, have a moustache and am losing my hair. Its clear I’m not under age. She insisted and I had to leave.
The thing is - she probably had “ground” to stand on - but honestly I felt embarrassed, unwelcome and ill treated.
Honestly, it’s a solid bar - I just had a bad/unreasonable experience. ✌🏼

Alternative name for this place: Grumpy Dudes Amazing Breakfast . The waiter (owner?) was super grumpy (maybe he had a bad day) to the point of it being comical. But the eggs and potatoes were truly amazing in a home cooked style. We would go back for sure and hope that the guy is still as grumpy. :-)

This spot on Cleveland Street has been a watering hole for quite a few decades now ..all of them have filled a need...this one is no exception... Every neighborhood needs an establishment like this. Recommended.

Older gentlemen instantly bit my head off when I walked into the establishment, no welcome, no greeting, no hi how are you, nothing. Girl at the bar apologized on his behalf after and I sat and had a meal, the food was all right no complaints was happy with what I got. The space looked pretty cool but the staff were a huge turn off. Probably wont go there again tbh.
