Such a cozy, homey spot. Great burger. And their mashed potatoes kept me alive during my second pregnancy.

My wife and I visited The Hill Cafe for a date night and had a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a perfect setting for a relaxed evening out. The service was attentive and friendly without being overbearing, and the food truly stood out.
The crispy Thai shrimp appetizer was phenomenal—perfectly cooked and packed with flavor—and the fried chicken was easily some of the best we’ve ever had. Everything we ordered was fresh and expertly prepared.
Highly recommend this location for anyone looking for excellent food, great service, and an ideal spot for a date night.

Great stop for happy hour/early dinner. Excellent cocktails and all of the food we tried was on point.
Our waitress was lovely. The service was excellent all around. The entire atmosphere is warm and inviting. Lots of regulars, super friendly folks.
We look forward to returning.

Wow. Cozy spot and good food. Go there.
Getting a fried green tomato BLT here has become a tradition every time we visit Richmond! Couldn’t recommend this place more- great food, friendly staff, great ambiance.

Sneaky good food and a very accessible menu with a variety of options, but mostly homey, comfort food. The “blue plate” entrees offer a massive serving—the fried fish is excellent and their fries are always crispy and delicious. My only gripe is their veggie sides can sometimes taste salty enough to turn your mouth into jerky.

I very much enjoy dining here. The staff is always friendly and if something is wrong, just tell them nicely, and they will make it right! It's a neighborhood place. Nothing fancy, but good food and good service. Prices have gone up, as they have everywhere. They are still moderate, but I think $20 - $30 is more realistic for a full meal.
