Have had nothing but great service from here... Not sure what these other reviews referring to. Y'all rock 🥰
outstanding coffee by barista Lyndon and very chill vibe. Stopped here on a road trip from Florida to New York because I could not stand another chain coffee experience, and really wish this were my local coffee stop. I would be in here every day. Absolutely worth the seven minute detour.
Rude staff, the woman in dark hair will snap if she's not happy about something instead of just communicating nicely like a normal decent person.
Came by on our way to Dinner Sunday night. Very cool vibe, ambiance set by the music was GenX, and of course a good iced espresso thing my wife got with blueberry infused in it somehow. It's a loft atmosphere with great signs from all sorts of coffee places posted, and I noticed power strips placed strategically all around. We sat on a love seat, there was a checkers table too, benches, and other varied seating. Really nice. Great service. Forgot to take pics--sorry. Oh yeah...I sae a spot for maybe danishes, but it was near close so empty. We'll be back.
Dipped in here for a meeting over chai. The chai was delicious, the atmosphere laid back, barristas extra friendly.
J. Kenji Lopez-Alt, but for coffee! Paradise for coffee nerds, aficionados, & anyone who loves a delicious cup. Innovative, creative, coffee-crafters. Featuring the best local roasts & also national (and even international) guest roasters on a near-monthly basis. Fresh baked goods dropped off daily. Multiple methods available to make pour over & other types of fresh-brew. Do not miss the aged cold brew - a masterpiece!
The Yama tower experience is a must for any coffee lovers! Helpful and friendly staff.
Great spot to enjoy a nice coffee after my morning classes. I love all the swag in the shop, but I got an everything bagel and a coffee… super expensive… for a college student I guess it’s expensive, but I can’t blame them because obviously prices have gone up so much in the last couple years.
But it just wasn’t that great, I could buy a whole sleeve of bagels at the market and make it just the same for like $4 for 5 of them..
The staff was pretty nice.. not fantastic.. i’ve been in here before, but I might’ve just got a disgruntled employee this day.
Pretty disappointed, but it’s hit or miss. I would still recommend this place for a coffee, not the food though.

The only thing that was uncomfortable was some one had their cell phone on speaker and the person's voice was louder than comfortable and I could hear the person on the other end. Could the person please take their call outside? I really don't want to hear other people that loud. It's disruptive to the ambience. The Maple Tahini Special Drink was extraordinary! The Burrito was excellent and the pastries are above and beyond! And when school starts and Alchemy-Lift is full, I really hope people use ear buds or go outside to use their mobile phones. Thank you for kind understanding and consideration. Very truly, L. Maria Montoni

Came in on a Saturday morning and was happily greeted by the barista. I got a tumeric latte, a breakfast burrito, and 2 croissants. Everything was delicious! The burrito seemed to be just heated up so I was skeptical at first, but it was very flavorful and filling! The chocolate croissants are phenomenal and not too flaky. Very cozy atmosphere and didn’t get busy until around 11:30. For those complaining about parking in reviews, it’s Richmond city…on broad st… nothing to do with this business…get over yourselves!

Barista was very nice, atmosphere was lovely, I enjoyed the live plants and list of all the coffee companies they work with. The coffee - iced mocha, was wonderful. And the pulled pork burrito was really good too, exceeded expectations for sure.

Decent coffee, but not great. Grungy propaganda-themed interior. Bathrooms looked as though some homeless people had just bathed in them. Overall pretty gross. The lone barista seemed to think making coffee was an inconvenience to his social life. Disappointing, Richmond.
Parking: Street parking if you don’t mind getting assaulted and/or a contact high.
Kid-friendliness: Not at all.
