Ordered cake for my grand daughter’s first birthday. Review would have been on point but I ordered a dozen of complimentary decorated cupcakes to the main cake. Cupcakes were DRY… The cake was totally the opposite, it was moist and everyone started cutting into the birthday cake and we tossed the cup cakes at $36 a dozen? Cupcakes were a waste of money.

Don’t be fooled by the complementary anniversary cake…we picked ours up for a weekend away and it was bone dry and had the wrong icing, which was chemically and gross. I’m guessing since it’s ‘free’ they don’t care about the quality; and I’m suggesting that because the customer service has always been cold and awkward. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.

Everyone I worked with/spoke to at Mixing Bowl was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, and they responded to all my emails very promptly. I highly recommend them for wedding desserts (and recommend getting the tasting box to help decide on your flavors - best tasted with a glass of champagne 😂)!

We skipped the traditional cake and did a few different "mini desserts." First off, everything was delicious! We got so many compliments from our guests. My husband is Italian and wanted to make sure we had Cannolis that were up to his family's standards. These definitely hit the mark! Secondly The Mixing Bowl was very easy to work with and had quick, clear communication. They took the stress out of the equation and helped our vision come true.

Their staff was prompt in answering all my questions and were patient as I was in the finalizing stage of planning. We ordered a marble cake with cream cheese frosting wedding cake with extra cupcakes and they were all enjoyed! We’re excited to celebrate our one year anniversary to receive our delicious complimentary top tier!
The Mixing bowl bakery was an excellent choice for our wedding this past weekend. Although I was too busy to eat much of our cake the day of the few bites I had were amazing. The at home tasting was an excellent way to make a decision in a no pressure environment and they include a top tier cake baked for your anniversary so no need to keep a cake in your fridge for a year!

They really helped us narrow down our options and speak to the way in which each flavor and icing style would present aesthetically so that we could help coordinate our choices to fit our wedding! They also were extremely patient as our guest count fluctuated and allowed us to edit our guest count accordingly up until the very end! The cupcakes and cake turned out BEAUTIFULLY! People were absolutely raving about how delicious the wedding cake was — some even said it was the best they’ve ever had! They also helped facilitate our design plan of incorporating edible flowers into our desserts. It looked so cool and unique! I would totally recommend them to anyone in the market for a wedding or event. They’re great!
