A beautiful venue. Gorgeous bar. Ordered a VA wine which was decent. Husband ordered the Caesar Salad and collards which were good, so he said. I ordered the roasted cod which was bland, but the grilled veggies underneath were good. Overall, I'd recommend this establishment.

Was visiting Richmond for the weekend and excited to try out this highly talked about restaurant.
We ordered the cornbread, fried green tomatoes, catfish and brisket. Even with the cornbread being so dry I actually couldn’t eat it, the catfish and brisket were some of the best bites of food I’ve ever had in my life. I wish I had skipped on the starters and saved my appetite for the entrée.
The cocktails were good, very unique. I would actually recommend the Emerald Lounge across the street for a pre-dinner drink for a different and fun atmosphere.
All in all, a really nice dinner with very reasonable pricing for some exceptional main courses.

It’s hard to know where to start. My son wanted to come here for his 24th b-day but I was not thrilled by the dishes I saw on the online menu. Starting with the cocktails, we knew this was not the old Roosevelt (which I loved but was last here 4 years ago). The drinks were creative and amazing. The five of us ordered 5-6 starters and they were all delish and then we had 5 entrees and shared two desserts. The creative way chef interpreted Southern fare such as fried catfish blew all of our minds. My son and his gf work in the industry and they couldn’t stop oohing and ahhing. Kat was a fabulous server. What a tremendous evening … the only complaint is that it was HOT inside so dress lightly.
Catfish, was very very good. But the Creole tomato sauce was the star. Collards were tasty and the brothers were skilled and friendly. Nice whiskey selection too.

I'm genuinely obsessed with this place. The food is immaculate. Been coming here for over 4 years and I get the exact same entree every time (the catfish) because its simply the most delicious and well prepared dish I've ever had. There is nothing like it at other restaurants. The food here is on par with Michelin starred restaurants in bigger cities, the cocktails are always well balanced and creative. It's a gem.

We have lived in Richmond 7 years and are here tonight for the first time. It was the best meal we have had in Richmond! The chef is extraordinary. We had the crab cake and had the catfish and also a side of collards. Each was exquisite. The flavors around the main protein were amazing. Service could have been a little stronger but overall the restaurant is top notch and pricing very reasonable. It’s as if they don’t know just how good they are yet.

First time here. I was a little worried when I saw the menu. We had a group of 6, so we ordered 4 appetizers and 6 different entrees. The food was sooooo good that we ended up sharing every single item. The EC even came out to speak to us. If you are looking for a completely different menu with simply amazing sauces, this is the place to go. On the small side so make reservations and a little pricey but it will be a memorable meal!!!!
