We had a wonderful dining experience at The Roosevelt last night. Everything was perfect: decor, drinks, staff and of course, the food. The brisket, stuffed peppers and wings were a great way the start the evening. Don't miss out on the Rattlesnake if you're looking for a different drink experience. There's a smokey flavor that's absolutely delicious. The staff is friendly and helpful. Book with confidence. You won't be disappointed.

We started sharing some cornbread which was crmbly but so fresh and the maple butter was really nicely done. Not overly sweet but woth a hint of the maple syrup. My husband enjoyed the Tenderloin which was cooked perfectly and the presentation was spot on. I ordered small plate of brisket stuffed poblanos and a fresh take on ceaser salad. Nice portions, just the right amount and we both enjoyed a nice dark lager.

Dinner was wonderful! Our server was so warm and the kitchen gave me a notated menu showing what was safe with my food allergy. Everything we ate was so good we forgot to take pictures after the appetizer 😄.
Perfect place to celebrate a special occasion or to eat food you don't cook at home. The Fig Sazerac was wonderful too. We will be back!
One small note, it can be a bit chilly near the windows, so bring a shawl or cardigan in colder weather. But don't let it stop you from going!

We were brave and tried the pig ears; glad we did. We had late reservations but our table was ready. The dim lighting made photos a little subpar but the ambiance was neighborly, friendly, and cozy. The menu made everyone in our party happy. Wine and cocktail selections were diverse and delicious. The only down note was the chicken and dumpling dish featured some over cooked and dry chicken.
Everything about this experience was amazing. Our server was knowledgeable and kind, the drinks were tasty, and the food was amazing. We got the brisket stuffed peppers, cornbread, catfish, and boudin. I will 10000% be back and I will be bringing all my out of RVA friends. There's a reason this restaurant is talked about!

A favorite anniversary spot! Their cocktails are always fabulous, and it’s always fun to find out what the best offering of the seasonal menu is- recently it was the fried squash blossoms stuffed with boudain, previously it was a whipped goat cheese and fresh made pita bread. You’re going to be hard pressed finding something you wouldn’t like here, truly an excellent assembly of fresh ingredients and flavors.
