Few know about this place and get the opportunity to enjoy its unique atmosphere and curated selection of beers. A Veil lover's dream with plenty to try and take home; all while surrounded by giant stacks of barrels. The place could definitely use some love but the service is always excellent! Chris (one of the hosts/servers) knows how to make your time there one of the best ways to spend any Friday night. Who knows what you might like better than the resident expert? I know...
This is my favorite of the three Veil locations. The focus on mixed fermie beers and bottle service, as well as the cozy atmosphere make it a great place to get friends together for a happy hour. Some Veil standbys are always available if you want to mix it up from the mixed fermie beers. Overall one of the true hidden gems of Richmond.
We were at the Veil in Norfolk. We love the stouts/IPA’s and the hamburger/fries from the restaurant. Down side is the cider wasn’t good at all. It taste like drinking apple cider vinegar. Sour/tart taste? I would say stick with beer brewing and not to mess with getting into cider. Our experience overall was good. We have been to both locations Norfolk and Richmond. Wish you would bring back the White Russian! That was excellent
