The Valentine's fixed price menu advertised on Open Table was “old” and not an offer for the evening. Staff was unaware. Three of us ordered appetizers, only one came out on time. One came with entree. One never came until we inquired. One ordered dessert did not come to table until after we inquired as it showed on the bill. All the food was only warm, not hot. Staff removed one appetizer and the dessert from the bill. The live music vocalist was best when on her break and not singing. This place may be okay as a bar but not as a restaurant. We will not be back.

Valentines day menu was not as posted. Advertised as $85 for wine, stater, entree, and desert. Did not have that when we went just their normal menu which is more like bar bites. Would not have chosen that for valentines day dinner.

Steak was not cooked how I order and was not fixed. Food came out cold. Order arrived incorrectly. Asked for a drink that was never brought. Good portions were extremely small for the price. It was extremely hot in the restaurant.

This bar/lounge is just that. It's located in the hotel lobby. It is beautiful, but I would only recommend it for lounging.

The original hotel lounge, “Thirst and Fifth” was much not different from the current “Gather and Hem” UNTIL the entirely stupid decision to rip out all the beer taps two years ago!
This was an especially stupid decision considering that there used to be 12-18 beers on tap, making it the place where people met every afternoon/evening after the General Assembly adjourned…a great place to encounter legislators.
The dramatic reduction in patronage the last two years aside, shout out to Aubrey!
Aubrey is a consistently excellent server! She is so attentive and so fast, that it almost makes up for the stupid decision to rip out the beer taps two years ago!
The deviled eggs are awesome, especially when paired with a side of chips…Aubrey’s recommendation! (But please bring back the taps and never run out of Falcon Smash!)

I had a great experience last night at the bar at Gather and Hem in the Downtown Richmond Hilton. VQ, the bartender, was incredible. He created delicious cocktails and when asked to create a unique shooter he took the challenge to task and put together a perfect concoction. Go see my man VQ. He's amazing!

You can get 24 shots from a bottle and this is equivalent to $480. That’s a rob!! Each shot if you buy on retail is $1.70 each, bottle is not more than $40, so their profit is more that 1000% wow First and last

The drinks was good not a big food menu but you have a big drink menu the hot wings were so hot you couldn't even enjoy them my husband doesn't eat meat and so you only had one item that was good for him I expected more from this place being it is downtown Richmond

The wait staff got my husband's order wrong and he was stuck with a more expensive item. They also kept getting confused about our drink order. It was a busy night so we understand. Nice atmosphere and would go back. Some effort should be made to make things right.

It was a mother daughter dinner, our server was amazing and the Manager on duty took take of us and came by several time to make sure we were happy and enjoining our dinner and drinks. We will come back
