Same quality food and service - and high prices - as when breakfast was served in fancy Lemaire dining rooms upstairs, except now you’re in an old Ramada Inn lounge/generic banquet room that could literally exist anywhere. Disappointed.

We arrived at noon on a Monday after a funeral to have lunch and a cocktail. The pllace was deserted, and actually depressing and dismal.
We ordered bourbon martinis and lunch. Rather than asking how to make the drinks, or looking up the recipe, the bartender gave us straight bourbon up in a martini glass.
I went up to the hostess as the waiter turned his back towards me, and the nasty hostess started to lecture us on the bartender having years of experience. Apparently the same person was the manager so if management treats customers like this, We knew we were in the wrong place.
She continued to go on and on in an ugly manner.... So I just tapped my husband on the shoulder and out we went. We're headed to Can-Can where we should have gone originally.

Went here for lunch one day and the food is mediocre at best and the atmosphere felt like stepping into a time capsule, leaving a lot to be desired. I’m all for history, but dusty and old is not the way to go. The service was great though!

TJ’s is awesome - we went here for breakfast twice during our hotel stay. The food is phenomenal and the service truly outstanding. The inside area feels a bit dark as there isn’t a lot of windows, but it probably adds to the charm. The one complaint I had was that the chef was stingy on the yogurt & granola bowl. The fruit and granola were delicious but there was barely any yogurt in the dish, and for $14 I would expect to get more value. The second day I got the same thing but asked for extra yogurt and it was the perfect amount. I was happy I didn’t get charged for asking for extra yogurt as well.

Yesterday I had the most delicious and generous portion of lobster (on a roll) I’ve had yet in Richmond! 10/10 I’ll be back to order it again. The atmosphere of the lounge is unbeatable and the perfect place for a business lunch or casual get together. My server Jacob took was friendly and informative and took great care of me. Can’t wait to come back!

Went to the Jefferson hotel today for their Sunday Brunch. Hotel is stunning. The food was very good but they shouldn’t advertise a champagne brunch when they are serving Spanish sparking wine. Very disappointed in that . Also my SIL ask for tea and our waiter gave her a look and said he’d see if could find any. Really ? At a hotel the possibility of no tea !

Entered near eleven, it wasn't packed. The bill was fair. I can see why they have so many good reviews.
Always an awesome experience
Visited TJ's Restaurant for the first time Christmas 2019 for dinner with a party of 12. The meal was not great after waiting 2 hours and the customer service was not satisfactory. However, after speaking with higher management, the situation was rectified to my satisfactory.
My family visited for Christmas. We had a party of 12 and we were seated as soon as we got there. The waiter took our order as we sat down but the food took over a hour to be plated as other tables continued to get their food before us. After speaking with management the situation was rectified.
First time going to TJ's Restaurant was on Christmas 2019 for dinner. We had reservations for 12. Excellent Christmas decor and free valet parking with validation. The food was okay after waiting over 2 hour for the order to be served. The waiter apparently had an issue with the kitchen staff and did not tell us that the meal would be so late ... not a good thing for him! After talking to the management, three different times, we were able to complete the experience with some positive feelings. Mr. McGee, one of the managers, was very understanding. I will probably try TJ"s Restaurant again in the future.
