Very simple breakfast. The food was mediocre — we had omelettes. They only serve hasbrowns but no regular roasted potatoes, the biscuit was dry. I wanted a latte with almond or oat milk, but they didn’t have those options. The price was very reasonable at $30 for two people. The server was very friendly, but overall, I wouldn’t come back.

Toast is a terrific choice near the University of Richmond. Comfortable pub type restaurant, with booths, tables, and bar space for eating and watching a game.Menu is pretty diverse, and the food is great. Has a full bar and nice selection of beer on tap as well. Our waitress was very friendly and parking is easy in their large open lot...

I had the half shrimp and crab nachos and they were really good. I like sour cream so I asked my waitress for a cup of it with my nachos. The Chesapeake omelet was loaded with seafood. Everything was delicious and great service. I want to try more on the menu next time

I had the Tuna Poke Bowl and it tasted really bad. The Tuna was dry and distasteful, and the rice and vegetables had a bitter metallic taste to it. The waitress removed the item from my check and refunded the amount. The whole experience was disappointing, and we won’t be coming back.

We were seated at the last open table, in the back, next to loud children (it happens). My sandwich was ok, the fries were delicious. My friend loved her sandwich.

The children left and another large (loud) party was sat next to us. Maybe best to go next time on an off hour.

Placed an order with Door Dash and the wrong item arrived. They were getting ready to close so I couldn’t reorder online. I called the restaurant just to report the issue and the manager offered to remake my order and have someone on her staff drive it out to my house. She went above & beyond to make the situation right which I appreciate. I believe her name was Paula but I don’t recall 100%. Either way, she provided excellent customer service!! The Thai wrap is delicious. I’ve had it several times and would definitely recommend.

Our “go-to”, midweek, date night. Food is always good. Service is fun and relaxed. Good variety of meal options for all. Love Toast!

Update: Sorry to have to rain on this parade, but the quality is so bad now, one year later. The first time I thought it was a fluke. The second time… I ordered sliders, the Nashville chicken sambo, and a Turkey Rachel. The sliders were so dry and overcooked, we threw them away. The dog took a sniff and went back to his bone. There was no aioli anything in sight. It was beef jerky on a dated roll. The turkey Rachel didn’t even have slaw. It had no sauce. It had a few onions around the outside and 4 slices of turkey so dry they must have been cooked by your dirty uncle Bob and leftover from Thanksgiving 8 months ago, then frozen, and summarily resurrected to try and make me a sandwich. I was in LOVE with this place. My whole family was. We all agreed we would now never eat there again. Also… I know Mac and cheese has roux, but tasting the raw flour screams “new chef”.

I have been to this place on numerous occasions and gotten good service and good food but unfortunately today really sucked.

I waited for an hour and a half for my food and it was wrong. not just the wrong dish. It was what I ordered, but it had none of the ingredients, that comes with.
When I asked to speak with a manager I was told that she was too busy to come out.

So now at almost 8 o’clock on a Sunday I have to find somewhere else to eat because these people don’t have their crap together and can’t be bothered to even apologize for wasting an hour and a half of my time.

Not only is the menu superb, and extremely accommodating of dietary restrictions and allergies, but the customer service is above and beyond. I have been a loyal customer for years and elect either carry out or a sit down dinner with any guests who visit me in Richmond. Every single loved one and friend has been more than pleased with their order! It’s a great atmosphere, great food, and a great owner and staff!

Went with my wife. Server not friendly most of the visit; she lacked patience and was very curt. I observed that she was nicer to others but apparently there was something about us she didn't like. My wife's burger was very good. My omelet was not so good...supposed to be chorizo, pico and cheddar...I was half way through the omelet before I discovered a very small amount of chorizo...even less Pico.

Lady's bathroom was clean. Men's room was disgusting.

Wanted a manager to stop by the table but no one ever came. (I didn't ask for the manager; most restaurants a manager will check in with guest...not here.)

Last time we visited here it was nice. This time was very disappointing.

Glad my wife's food was good.
