This place never disappoints. We started out a little early for our reservation in the bar. The service was great, and the drinks were on point. We moved upstairs for dinner to continue our evening.. The food was perfectly prepared, and our waitress took great care of us. Keep up the great work!

Favorite place in Richmond but a disappointing visit. Came in for a birthday celebration that was anything but! Had to ask for.a table change after being “stuffed” into corner. Server tried to pass off the wrong wine. Discovered they did not have the wine we requested and had to go with another choice. Waited for next wine choice drinking water without an offer of another cocktail . Finally dinner arrived and things got better! Expensive and sub par evening!!

This was a pleasant surprise. Very high quality ingredients and well made dishes at fair prices. The portions were generous without being too much. The bar has an excellent selection of top shelf products. Wait staff is attentive and professional and but not intrusive. This place looks like a movie set. Highly recommend.

My husband and I went out for our date last night and I can't tell you how much we enjoyed it! From the service to food to atmosphere- Tobacco is always such a wonderful experience! Loved it!

Such a wonderful experience. Been several years and still a top notch place. The service is so professional and the food fantastic. Recommend getting a cocktail in the lounge before dinner and experience the entire restaurant and all Its ambience.

Beautiful place. Cloe, excellent waitress. Noise tolerable. So many restaurants these days are way too loud to the point of pure misery. Yours, on the evening we visited, was not bad. The food is good; the prices too high in my opinion. All in all a very good dining experience. We would recommend you.

Sad to say I visited this place on my birthday earlier this week, and of course like most of the establishments I frequent the ambiance is what drew me here, and while the aesthetics of the place were nice the experience was not, we were seated upstairs and our waiter/server, Ryan M was his name an older bald gentleman with significant under arm odor came to the table to introduce himself was not friendly or inviting, he spoke to us as if we had no clue what to order in such a place I mean the menu is not that extensive so nothing difficult there, he barely came to the table to check in, he was inpatient & hurried us with our ordering, the main course came out way before the appetizers as he probably neglected to put the order in, another staff assisted with that, he then dropped off a dessert menu and walked away returned several minutes later and I gave him my dessert choice and asked for it to go, however it came out on a plate which the gentleman that brought it out apologized and boxed it up to go as originally requested, so after taking care of the bill Ryan M had the nerve to say to me while walking away "see you next year" as if I could only come there on my birthday, I was so livid but he was gone in a flash I attempted to report him & the comment before leaving and also by calling after I left but each time I was informed that the manager was out on the floor assisting with customers... So to you Ryan M I will not return to this place not just because the food was mid but solely due to your attitude, lack of equal customer service, and prejudices and for the record I could eat there every night of the week if that's what I choose to do and could've given you a sizable tip to change your life..moral of the story don't be an ass!!

Took out customers for dinner, five of us in total. Atmosphere of course is awesome. It was very busy so slower service is expected. Ordered three apps to share which all were good. Didn't get appetizer plates so we used our bread plates. No big deal. Only got one bread basket, asked for another one, never got it. Ordered another drink, never got that either. Again, it was busy so I can overlook that. The biggest disappointment was the Prime Rib I ordered. The signature dish. The meat was so tough it was hard to cut and chew. Either just a bad cut of meat or not cooked properly. Whoever sliced that piece should have noticed then. I didn't want to make a big deal out of it as we were there with guest but did let the waiter know quietly. That's as far as it went. Overall experience was good, but my dinner extremely disappointing. Thought you should know.

This was our third visit. We loved our first two, made the decision for visiting again easy. This time was not pleasant. We will return, as this visit could have been a one off, however, if this had been our first time, we would definitely never return. When both you server and bus boy ask forgiveness several times, because they are “new” and “only on my second shift”, it speaks poorly of staff training, or possibly hiring criteria. Our server would not speak above a faint voice. We had to ask her to please repeat herself several times. Meals, one with a pork chop, one with strip steak, were served without cutting knives. We both used a butter knife, until about 8 minutes into the meal, when our server server showed up with proper cutlery. We also used the rest of what little bread butter was left as the baked potato came with none. That too showed up 8 minutes into the meal. The steak was fine, the pork was not. The broccolini served with the pork was more than charred, it was burnt. But hey, the bottle of wine was perfect. And note, an Irish Coffee is not pouring a shot of Baileys into coffee. It is black coffee, sugar, a shot of Irish Whiskey and finished with fresh whip cream. I have no idea as to who made this mistake, the bar or the server. But then to have written in the receipt where the drink was removed “customer did not like the drink”, when really it was the customer did not receive the drink that was ordered. Note as well when a simple shot of Basil Hayden is ordered and does not show up for 15 minutes, your customer does not need to know that there was confusion between having to go to an upstairs bar or a downstairs bar. This made no sense, and really, customers never want to hear (repeatedly) excuses. We did not finish our bottle of wine and asked for it to be corked so as to take it from the restaurant. Here too there was confusion as to what to do. I doubt that it is legal to simply take an open bottle out the front door. It was figured out.

It's a beautiful restaurant. The waitstaff were awesome. The seafood was incredible. Crab cakes and Scallops were phenomenal. Prime rib was cooked perfect, but a bit bland. The flourless chocolate tort was delicious. Overall a wonderful experience.

Beautiful inside the restaurant with great ambiance. The food and service were both excellent. Highly recommend and will visit again. Suggest getting reservations to avoid any waiting.

Definitely was price but they have large portions and top tier food. I got the pork tenderloins, my boyfriend got the fried catfish, and we split the flourless chocolate torte for dessert. Our entrees were PHENOMENAL - the catfish melted in your mouth and the bacon glaze for the pork was sweet and complimented the dish well. The dessert wasn't my favorite because it felt like they just gave us a chunk of chocolate but my boyfriend loved it. If you do get it get a scoop of ice cream. The torte is dense, rich, and has the potential to overwhelm and the ice cream helps it become lighter and smoother. Throughout the entire dinner my boyfriend and I enjoyed looking at the guests and decorations. Our waiter was friendly and even made us laugh several times throughout the night. Will be going back.

Tasty food, but I would've appreciated some bread. I also noted in my reservation that the meal was to celebrate my husband's birthday - I don't know if I'm used to other steakhouses in the area, but they didn't even mention it :/ didn't even ask us if we wanted to see a dessert menu. Overall food was good, ambiance is beautiful, service was meh.
