ive been faithful and loyal for years to carenas and jamaica house until a friend recommended trues to me and the flavor on these oxtails and spicy rice is top notch ...?? Trues will definitely be in my mix from here on out and i get to support black owned food spots in richmond 5*****

Favorite Vegan spot to visit in RVA! The empanadas are a God sent. They always have my vote! The owner was very gracious and kind. Thank you guys for being that one of a kind Vegan spot for the Richmond culture :)

The FOOD is sooooo yummy!!!!! The vibe is down to earth and makes you feel like you in another country. They really put so much love into the food and my whole family enjoys eating here ✨ children approved to, we love it here, so much!!!

THE FOOD IS AMAZING!!!! I am from NY where we have Caribbean restaurants on almost every corner. It has been hard to find a place that can match the flavor until now. I ordered for my team at VCU and we all agree the food was excellent. We’ll be placing more orders and stopping by.

The Honey Hennessy wings were taste but it was smothered with sauce. I was wondering where was the rest of my food because I paid $18 for this! They need to update their menu prices. On the menu it stated 8 honey Hennessy wings but their actual menu is 5 wings. They are too over price for this little bit of food. No thanks will not be going here!

If only I can give more than 5 stars. This place is such a vibe. The food is great. The staff is very warming and welcoming. Good music and atmosphere. If your looking for some real soul food/ soul vegan meals True’s is the TRUTH and ANSWER. You will not be disappointed.

From start to finish everything was great. I reached out with a last minute request (day before) for catering and she absolutely delivered. The service was amazing, the food was THE BEST. I highly recommend this restaurant.
