I went to check this place out because the Internet said they had a good selection of tinned fish and I needed to get some for my dad for Christmas. I found a bunch of really interesting and high quality options! Will return.

I got blue crabs on Saturday. I called and asked did they have #1âs guy on the phone said he had âcrabsâ coming out at 1, like 10-15 minutes. I got there about 1:30 and asked for a dozen number ones. Was told they got the biggest ones they could get. Now, Iâm a little worried cause I wouldnât have came out if they didnât have number ones. I was waiting on a call back from captain johnnys to see if they would have some number 1âs available around 2. Another guy brings some crabs out on a tray to show me the size. They wasnât all #1âs. The sizes varied. But they looked decent. I wasnât sure Captain Johnnys was going to call back so I grabbed a dozen and tried them because the reviews were great. The quality wasnât as good and I had 3 crabs that were soft and hollow. NOW, the store itself is clean and stocked with great seafood. The staff is nice and for someone that just wants some local crabs to enjoy or other seafood, this is a great place. I prefer #1âs and also like my crabs hot, so Iâll be going back to West Point to get my crabs from now on. I paid 50 dollars for the dozen I got here and a dozen of #1âs are 50 right now at Johnnys. IF YOU LOOKING FOR GOOD LOCAL SEAFOOD, DO TRY THEM OUT. My experience wasnât bad, I just prefer #1âs. đ

Wow! Serendipity-My first time seeing this seafood gem! On my way to the strip mall of shops & when parked I noticed the quaint sign & its humble building, I decided to walk around to the entrance. Entering this cozy place, it brought back memories of traditional âMom &Popâ dives & I at once felt nostalgic as I overheard the âdown-to-earthâ personalized conversation between the seafood employee(s) & customers. In addition, its ambience is so inviting to all no matter whom you are! I was examining the food items on a corner tiered shelf & then an employee who happened to be the Owner extended courtesy to me & graciously patiently replied to my questions. I bought the unique natural tortilla chips & Trout Dip (made fresh at Tuckahoe Seafood). A lot to choose from! The other employee took over in assisting me as I paid for these items! I will definitely be back & spread my praise of Tuckahoe Seafood to others! I highly recommend visiting Tuckahoe Seafood even if just to experience its wonderful customer service, myriad items & family-owned atmosphere! Gratitude!

For $11 just ate the best shrimp Iâve ever had. All shrimp will forever more fall short. I am a new woman. All the guys working there were kind and helpful, even when I walked in 5 mins before closing. I also got a dozen oysters (fresh, incredible) and a tuna steak (if itâs not good itâll be my fault). Wanted to take a picture but I literally ate the shrimp up in a wild frenzy and the five I saved for my son are now actually three and Iâm actually about to just eat the rest of them. My seven year old ate one of these oysters for the first time and actually liked it.
