Food was ok. My noodles were pretty crunchy and my wife's chicken was nothing special for the price. The staff asked if we wanted sparkling or still without mentioning that the sparkling was a NINE dollar bottle of water. The only time they visited our table after ordering was to try to push another nine dollar water.

Goods:
Fun and upbeat vibe. We usually sit at the bar and the bartenders are cool. Lots happening, but cozy, even if it’s a little tight.
Usually some cool specials going on: apps, drinks, and entrees!
The tiramisu and gelato are both amazing! Definitely think this place is only for a drink and dessert after eating somewhere else. If we had just done this, it’d be an easy 5 star.
Bad:
Overpriced by a good bit, especially the wines. $50+ for bottles that are pretty medium of the road.
Most of the pasta isn’t homemade, and the normal menu options are a little weird. Was looking for some of the basics, but didn’t see anything captivating.
The bruschetta is dead and unappetizing.
You can add “grilled chicken” to the pastas for $10.95. This needs a change and makes the food seem even more overpriced and lackluster. It’s hammered down, seems like it’s pan seared to hell. It’s so dry, kind of tough, and doesn’t come in the pasta or presented well at all. Should be nice and expensive, or mediocre and cheap. But mediocre and expensive isn’t a good option.

My wife and I came for date night on Saturday at 6:30 and requested an outside table. Our waiter came over after about 10 minutes to offer us drinks (a little long of a wait but it was busy). My wife requested a dry red wine, which our waiter said he didn't think they had one (really, at an Italian restaurant?). My wife requested to try the Chianti. He came back with a new wine to the list, which she ended going with.
It took 30 minutes for our waiter to return to take our order. We certainly would've ordered a second round if he had come back sooner. We ordered the Keftedes, which came out about 20 minutes later. These were the only shining moment of the meal as they were tasty. Another 30 minutes later, our waiter came back to take our dinner order (way too long).
My wife ordered the Amatriciana and I ordered the Chicken Milanese. We also ordered a bottle of the red wine. This is where things really went down hill. It took 50 minutes for our dinner to arrive, getting to the table at 8:30. My chicken was cold and rubbery. I called the waiter over and he said he'd get a manager. She came over (the hostess) and I explained the situation. She offered to re-fire the meal, but at this point, I was starving and didn't trust that it was going to come out timely. Instead of the woman offering any other offer, she simply removed it from the bill. So for this horrible experience, the bill came to $153 with tip. I will never return and I have told a lot of my neighbors about the terrible experience between the 2 hour wait, the long time between the waiter stopping by (I noticed him serving a bunch of tables inside, so I tipped him normally because I assume the restaurant management understaffed the front of house that night), and the food quality.

We had dinner there last night and it was incredible! Our server was fantastic and knew each dish so well. She recommended the eggplant rollatini for an appetizer and it was yummy. Our table had the Veal Ragu Pappardelle, Limon Pasta, and Amatriciana, and all had great flavor and large portions. The Vanilla Panna Cotta with fresh berries was delicate and so flavorful. I can’t wait to go back!

Their tip calculation was based on post tax amount. Totally unacceptable and dishonest. I tipped 20% on pre tax amount. Do they take us as fools?

Exceptional service, appetizers, food, and drinks came very quickly, and our water glasses were never empty. The bread basket with olive and pimento focaccia is delicious. The fresh anchovies with lemon was almost reminiscent of European dishes. The papardelle was deeply flavored with big chunks of meat, the veal picatta was light and very lemony which we love, and the chicken was nicely balanced. Portions are very generous and there was plenty to take home. A wonderful meal.

Food was decent, drinks were nice, and prices were fair. Normally, this is enough to please me but there's one huge problem with our experience.
It was at least 95° in this place, and we learned that their AC was out. Dude, you have to close when that happens. It was brutal, we were drenched in sweat. What could have been a pleasant restaurant experience was fully killed by the heat. Also, as others have mentioned, you're packed like sardines in here.
As a customer, I'd like the owners to know that when you don't close service when you have emergencies like this, and when you pack as many people as you could possibly fit, it feels like they're trying to milk every last penny out of the place at the expense of customer experience. All you cared about is that you got that money even if we were miserable, but what you should care about is the money from the multiple times I probably would have been back if you had at least notified us that you were having issues. We had a reservation, you had our phone number.
