I very much enjoyed the experience at Uliveto. The service and ambience were warm and inviting. As for the food, I enjoyed the olive bread and octopus special. Though I would have preferred the olive bread served warm. They reminded me of my many culinary experiences in Europe. However the portion and presentation when it came to the flounder entree was poor. The portion size was much too large and the presentation needed work. I thought the fish was cooked well. I think this restaurant has the opportunity to become a staple in the community. My hope is the menu options are decreased by half or more. A focus on a few dishes that are executed on well in taste, portion, and appearance would not only help customers avoid decision fatigue when choosing their meal, but would ensure consistent quality of food. Having a smaller menu would also help keep costs down by helping the restaurant have less food inventory which should ensure ingredients are consistently fresh. I would also consider having a separate wine bottle menu that is offered on request, while shifting wine by the glass to the cocktail menu.

First time with some of my girlfriends for my birthday and it did not disappoint!! The food is fantastic and servers are all very attentive. I cannot express how good their version of an espresso martini was. Truly the best I've had in Rva!!

The price of the bacon and halloumi bruschetta is fair for the amount it serves; it is sufficient for one person and can certainly be shared with others. It also tastes and smells delicious. It was incredibly enjoyable to me!

Made a last minute res for me & my friend at the bar. The food was amazing, the service was good, and the space was very energetic. Hands down the best, most authentic gnocchi I've ever had. I can't wait to go back.

I had a wonderful time here. Despite the busy day, I was able to relax and feel satisfied thanks to the delicious cuisine that the staff had prepared. You can eat here in quiet because of the neat and pleasant ambiance..

Service was very casual.Water fell in my plate in the middle of dinner while refilling water but no apologies or replacement !!ingredients were quite ‘fresh’ but the spice and sauces were very basic.Server never swung by to offer salt/pepper.Very bland.Salad chopping size are pretty big to handle in a ‘bite’ size. They were out of Pita at 9pm.Pretty disappointed with food vs price. The drink orders took forever to arrive.Sat evening was quite busy which the restaurant could not cope with.Avg $50 each.

Had a wonderful Birthday dinner with my wife.Parking: I did not see any parking lot so don't quote if I missed it. Street parking is what it is but for us wasn't bad to find a spot!

Surprisingly good meal. The arugula salad was the star. Sautéed kale was delish. Will go back.

Girls' night at Uliveto provided an intimate chic atmosphere. Although the restaurant being relatively empty, the table's setting was tight and made us feel crammed the entire night. Moving on to the food, the waitress offered us bread and olive oil, but I had to decline because of my celiac. Unfortunately, there were no alternatives offered for bread and olive oil, a notable absence in a fancy establishment. The sicilian and fennel salads were decent but didn't stand out. The presentation of the dishes, as seen in the images, lacked impressiveness. The branzino, covered in tomato slices and soaked in lemon juice, was disappointingly acidic, resulting in an unenjoyable slimy texture. The baked eggplant's sauce tasted store-bought, with the saving grace being the addition of parmigiano cheese. On the positive side, Uliveto excelled in customer service, demonstrating friendliness and going the extra mile to ensure the safety of those with celiac and shellfish allergies. Additionally, the staff kept guests hydrated with prompt water glass refills. Overall, our experience was disappointing, to say the least. Perhaps those who opt for pasta dishes might have better luck!

Five stars for food and atmosphere but three for service. Our wine, apps and entree were unbelievably good. Similar to dining in Europe. Internationally acquired ingredients and a menu with a robust variety of flavors. Our server appeared high and disinterested. When we asked about menu recommendations she said “anything”. She botched the bill (in our favor) and didn’t mention dessert.

The experience reminded me of dining in Italy. The food was impeccable, and the service was fantastic. We even had the opportunity to chat with the sommelier, who helped us select the perfect wine for the meal. Una cena fantastica!
