Had a horrible experience there.
There were no pecans or celery in my chicken salad. FALSE

Amazing service, food, coffee and juices. From out of town, but this would be a regular spot for me if I lived here.

The pimento cheese tomato sandwich was delicious. The chai latte was OK. It was mostly milk. Great gluten free bread!

I don’t recommend this place at all. I ordered a blue cheese chicken sandwich with fruits as a side. The fruits (blue berries) were not washed properly and I found a small hair in my sandwich!

We arrived in Richmond last night and on our way to dinner we passed by this place and the smells...yum. so, this morning, my husband decided to get breakfast. 1) the coffee is AWFUL! If you want better reviews, trash your current roaster. 2) the oatmeal was too dry and inedible. Again, AWFUL. 3) the bacon and egg sandwich was pretty good.
We trashed our coffee and bought more elsewhere. The oatmeal got trashed. So, 3 coffees, oatmeal, breakfast sandwich, and $42 later, 2⭐️ . My husband said the staff were awesome, though.

Arrogance. Completely ignored, had to leave, no one cared.

This places gives the bare minimum in everything you order yet charges so much. The salad is literally a plate of spinach and chicken, the oatmeal is plain with no honey or cinnamon….it’s like they put no effort into their items

I wanted to like this place but just could not. We tried the Virginia Ham sandwich, Tuna Sandwich, Egg and Bacon Sandwich, and the Peruvian Chicken and Veggie stew along with multiple lattes and juices. Sadly, none of it was good. The sandwiches were very rubbery tasting and had almost no flavor. The soup was good but size/price was ridiculous. The juices were unmixed and tasted like straight celery blended up. The lattes were pretty good but again, lacked flavor. Everything was very over priced and the workers weren’t helpful. I’m so sad as I wanted to like urban Farmhouse but it was very disappointing. So sadly, I won’t be back.

Very friendly and comfortable environment with great espresso drinks and food. I look forward to going back!
Vegetarian options: Oatmeal is very good, as are smoothies and breakfast sandwiches.

Have been wanting to try lunch at this nice looking shop for many years. Yesterday was my first and unfortunately last visit. The first couple of menu items that interested me were not available even though it was a few minutes after 12:00 pm on a Monday. The sandwich I chose was both subpar and expensive. I was also struck by the point of sales system that immediately wanted a tip even though I had to walk up to your counter and order my lunch. Then I had to walk back up to the counter to get my order.

I want to love this place so I have been many times, but this is my last. I find the food subpar. Breakfast is better than lunch, but I had the worst $8 chai today. It tasted like bitter over-steeped black tea with some spices. The veggie sausage breakfast sandwich was good. I’ve had other things that were down right disgusting. I love the location and atmosphere. The problem is how one justifies $47 for 2 breakfast sandwiches, 2 chais, and a $5 tip.

Had the worst experience here. They said a GF bagel would take 30 mins because “they bake it” and said they couldn’t use cream cheese because “the scoop crumbles” ?? I I truly think the cashier was possibly on drugs. It did not make sense. She asked if I was sure I wanted my sandwich untoasted and I said I didn’t want to wait upwards of 30 minutes for a sandwich. It was disgusting. I think it was the worst sandwich I have ever had in my life.
Why advertise gluten free and then do everything possible to not let someone order gf? They told me a bagel would take over 30 mins and you can’t get cream cheese. Sandwich was the same deal. What on earth? I used to come here a lot and I will never come here again. Ended up just getting a drink while everyone else could get something to eat. Get it together
Almost nothing is gluten free. This is not celiac safe. But they *did* try very hard to verify all ingredients and I did not get sick from my salad
