Maybe don’t advertise as a dog friendly brewery if you’re going to ask an excited puppy to leave or “take a lap around the block” because the “barking is getting aggressive”. Our dog caused zero problems with any humans or animals and in fact, minded his space and only barked sadly when someone walked by without petting him. There was another dog also barking and being mouthy and I didn’t see them get singled out by an employee. Makes our decision easier to go to one of the many other breweries around town next time we go out with the pup 😊

Arrr, I’ve sailed to Väsen Brewery a fair few times, I have! I be likin' to give me review after a couple o' visits—seems only fair, eh? So far, I’ve no gripes to speak of, but even if I did, what good’d it do? Every brew I’ve tasted be top-notch! I especially love takin' me dog there, too—'tis a fine escape when the weather be foul and I’m feelin' cooped up. Me last visit was with me ol' dad, and he had naught but praise fer Väsen as well. Arrr!

Excellent brewery! I had the Hefeweizen (not pictured), Mexican lager, and DIPA while I was here. This place is very white color-wise with regards to the walls yet very colorful otherwise and I enjoyed seeing all the Pride flag representation. The Hefeweizen was top notch and I debated ordering that all three times it was so good. Every beer style is above average and there’s plenty of styles for everyone to try. I came here during peak hours and street parking was a bit difficult as I had to drive around a few times until I found a spot. Overall though this is one of the best breweries in RVA, and definitely worth a stop.
