We had such a great time at trivia night at Väsen. The questions were actually fun and well thought out, probably some of the best trivia we’ve played in terms of variety and challenge. This spot is also my husband’s favorite for non-alcoholic options, which means a lot since he doesn’t drink. It’s one of the few places where he still feels totally included in the vibe while we’re out having fun. Great beer and great energy.

Maybe don’t advertise as a dog friendly brewery if you’re going to ask an excited puppy to leave or “take a lap around the block” because the “barking is getting aggressive”. Our dog caused zero problems with any humans or animals and in fact, minded his space and only barked sadly when someone walked by without petting him. There was another dog also barking and being mouthy and I didn’t see them get singled out by an employee. Makes our decision easier to go to one of the many other breweries around town next time we go out with the pup 😊

Arrr, I’ve sailed to Väsen Brewery a fair few times, I have! I be likin' to give me review after a couple o' visits—seems only fair, eh? So far, I’ve no gripes to speak of, but even if I did, what good’d it do? Every brew I’ve tasted be top-notch! I especially love takin' me dog there, too—'tis a fine escape when the weather be foul and I’m feelin' cooped up. Me last visit was with me ol' dad, and he had naught but praise fer Väsen as well. Arrr!
Some good craft beer flavors. Friendly staff. Enjoyable indoor and outdoor seating. And a bonus was enjoying delicious food from On The Grill RVA, a street vendor.
