Vietnam One is the most consistent Vietnamese restaurant in Richmond. We can depend on the appetizer platter being varied and delicious and the entrees are always top notch. In a location that looks like a cafeteria the food is the attraction- plentiful and flavorful! We go to Vietnam One often and have never had a bad meal. My favorite is the Barbecue Pork on Broken Rice, my husband prefers the Pho but everything we've tried has been good.

Did this place change owners? This used to be our favorite place and we will drive 35 mins just to eat here. Well, no more.

We sat down and waited at least 10 mins for someone to give us the menu, another 10 for someone to take our order. We asked for extra meat and vegetables. Guess what? Same amount of meat and vegetables and charged us $7.5 more. That is outrageous. The service is non existent and the food is average at best. It’s obvious that they have changed the recipe so the pho gets ready faster. The broth is no longer the same and has almost 0 flavor. I am surprised it still has a 4.5 rating but I do see more and more people complaining about its flavor no longer being the same as before. Oh! I forgot to mention they took away even the napkins from the tables. The audacity!

Whoever the new owner is, my advice is, don’t nickel and dime your customers, or we will vote with our feet.

Ordered seafood noodles that had shrimp, “crab” meat and scallops, but there were only two small scallops in the bowl, two medium sized shrimp, and imitation crab. Portion was terrible for the money (go to any other pho place and it’d have better portions). On top of that, the noodles and broth were nearly flavorless to me. Go to any of the other three pho places around here instead

The prices listed here are not even remotely correct. Plan on spending at least $17 for Pho (not the $7.95 listed on their website). Safe bet is to double the price they have listed and then add another $5. Bait and switch?
