We had so much fun here last weekend! They were so accommodating and the tour was great! The drinks are amazing!! Try the coffee liquor!! We went for a stop on a bachelorette party tour and this was the most fun stop by far!!

Yeah this was a pleasant surprise. I really missed on this one. I usually find distilleries to be fuesil... Meaning too strong not pleasant. Boy, was I wrong. Virago served very tasty drinks... It was down right enjoyable. I will most definitely go back. They have snacks, some swag for sale, and plenty of parking space. The drink menu is creative. Definitely an ample amount of different drinks. Comfortable seating. And very friendly service. Rain the bartender was great. YOU MUST GO HERE!!!

We loved our time here. We were dragged here by family and I'm so glad. They have seasonal drinks that are great, but try the different rums. I'm not much of a shot person, but this is a sipping situation. I found I loved the Rum finished in Cognac Casks. Amazing. In fact, I bought the bottle for a very decent price and it's One of the best cask rums I have ever had. Give them a try if you like Rum!!

The owner gave us a tour and the drinks and experience was incredible, highly recommend, the owner is a William and mary graduate and is very particular about how they make their alcohol. The merch and drinks are beyond expectations. Every drink is perfect. I learned so much about how they make their alcohol and history it was one of the best experiences of my life!

Despite its nondescript industrial location, it's near other Richmond food and beverage hotspots, simply on the other side of the tracks, literally and metaphorically. You can't swing a dead cat without hitting a whiskey distillery these days, but Virago produces craft rums and gins, with a long product list for a small operation. The bartender knew the lineup well, and we talked with one of the founders at length. Cocktail and spirits fans alike... treat yourself with a visit to Virago.

If you like Rum then this place is a must. The location is unique and might be a little hard to find as there is a tiny sign outside and its in an industrial setting. The bartender was awesome and the drinks were great. I highly recommend the Rum Old Fashioned. It was really good. You also get a great view of the distillery floor from the bar. I plan on returning for sure.
Virago is an awesome distillery. I first learned about Virago after receiving a bottle of their Ruby Port Cask finished Rum as a gift. I had high expectations after trying some of their product at home and their tasting room didn't disappoint. Their seasonal menu had fun plays on classic cocktails that highlighted their spirits. Some of my personal favorites were the Hot Shot (which was especially great as it was a cold day) and Madhu Martinez. Be sure to pair your cocktail with a spirit flight so that you can try some of their unique and delicious gins and rums.My personal favorite standalone spirit was their Hibiscus Gin which really highlighted the floral/fruity notes of the Hibiscus. I can only imagine it would go well in a Collins style cocktail.

Love the ambiance of the place! Kinda reminds me of a coffee shop. Small, quiet and cozy. You would never know from the outside. The drinks are also out of this world and the staff are all super nice. Honestly, best pina colada I’ve ever had!

I did not care for this place at all. First of all, the decor. The painted mural acknowledged a few different women...and Karl Marx? Exactly what is going on here? Oh, and there were way too many sexual symbols as well. As for the drink, the old fashioned was alright, a little bit too sweet though, it just wasn't one of the better ones I've had. This place just isn't worth it with so many other quality establishments in the area.
