Ordered takeout from here on 3/17/24 for dinner. Ordered szechuan chicken, egg rolls, s-fried rice, and beef broccoli. Food was made with a LOT of oil, tasted bland (except the egg rolls), and my husband got food poisoning from eating their s-fried rice. We will not return.

We used to go to this place for lunch but when I went yesterday after 2 years of not being there it was a huge disappointment. Half the restaurant is boxes and tables on top of each other and everything is still in paper and plastic as if we were in the throes of covid still. I ordered General Tso's chicken and one piece tasted like it had dish soap in it. So I tasted another and another and they all tasted like dish soap. The fried rice was extremely Bland and had nothing but a few pieces of onion in it. There was no Chinese hot sauce as we were accustomed to before. There were only to go packets. The restaurants smelled a little like sewer as well. I will never go there again. I am so sad as that was our favorite lunch time place when we were landscaping. I actually could not eat my lunch and pushed it away and left. I was hoping that I was not going to get sick from it.

I asked for beef and broccoli thinking I’d get equal parts but jesus christ are we in a war? Are they rationing beef out here? They gave me so much broccoli like what the hell am I suppose to do with it? I have more broccoli then rice.

We always order the chicken wings with shrimp fried rice!!! It’s delicious!The wings have a perfect crunch & the seasoning is so flavorful! Shrimp is always tender! Yummy ?

This is the best place in Richmond for honey chicken. Hands down!!! The prices are fair for the portions!
I ordered some lunch from here today, chicken with cashews. The menu says it is served with fried rice. When I tell you how disappointed I was when I opened the container!!!! I was thinking 'where is the chicken at'??!!! The chicken was cut up into very small pieces!!, & it was not much!! They put plenty of celery in it, & I have some rice left over, which for fried rice it looks light...I had an issue with this place about a year & some concerning the lack of chicken!! This is two strikes & the last!!!! This place is A RIP OFF!!! SMH

I live over an hour away. I ordered a chicken fried rice,which comes with bean sprouts and a few scallions and regular onions. I requested extra bean sprouts, extra chicken and scallion. I got all the way home and there were NO bean sprouts at all, no scallions, and barely any regular onions. I called and spoke to a kind young man. I explained my dilema...this is not what is in the original dish. Forget about the extra items. A woman got on the phone and said, "well I can give you your .50 back" . I explained that this is nothing but chicken and rice. Not impressed never going back!!

Hidden little gem of a take-out restaurant. Price for quality and quantity is a phenomenal value. Have been coming here for quite awhile and have nothing but good things to say about this place- my go-to chinese restaurant.

Very SMALL amount of food. I wanted to share pictures. Have not been here in YEARS! Now I remember why.If you are hungry, I can not suggest these portions. Without being able to attach pictures to this post, there is no way to express in the typed form just how disapointing a 1 inch box of white rice looks when you are hungry.

Placed a VERY large order online. Was informed order would be ready in 30 minutes. Arrived on time and was told from guy manning the take out counter and phones that their "service" ( whatever the heck that means ?? ) didn't call them with the order even though they got it. As a result, had to wait an extra 25 minutes to take the order out. I asked if - for the inconvenience - we could get a free order of Chinese donuts or something to mitigate the added inconvenience. All he said was " we're sorry sir but it's the fault of our 'service' ". We usually order from city lights on gayton. 1st and last time ordering from westlake.
